So I'm starting my own WWTBAM series soon. I've been doing some planning, and I thought of a clever idea, which as far as I know has never been done before:
Before starting their game, the contestant will be presented with a list of lifelines. They will be asked to choose five of them. They will start out with the first three. They will earn their fourth lifeline once they've made it past question 5, and their fifth when they've made it past question 10.
What do you guys think of this idea? Anything you think should be changed? Any other suggestions? Let me know.

Personally, I think it's a good idea! My suggestion is that you can ask some questions about pictures that will be shown to the player, for instance: How many apples do you see in this picture? I think it would be good. I have also some questions: Contestants from how many lifelines can choose five of them and what these lifelines are? Are there any safety nets like in the classic version of Who Wants To Be a Millionaire? Anyway, I wish you good luck with developing this idea.

Don't know how that would fit in. Second, you can't have Millionaire without safety nets, can ya? Glad you like the idea.

You have mentioned about a choice of lifelines. Contestants from how many lifelines can choose five of them and what these lifelines are?

To be honest, five lifelines are too much for regular Millionaire, but not enough for Super Millionaire either, prefer choice for the amounts of Super is 6, but I could dream all I want.
Three lifelines is the way to go for regular Millionaire, but if you must go for four lifelines, many formats used other lifelines as the fourth lifeline to use, plus an addition of a list of lifelines would be cool to see, considering that many lifelines like Double Dip, Ask the Expert and The People Speak could make your series interesting to say the least of your worries.
Overall, just use four lifelines, the game doesn't need a fifth lifeline slot.
