Alright, this idea popped into my head this morning as a variation of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, and I just wanted to see what everyone thinks of it.
Name: Millionaire: Risk It!
Money Tree:
RULES:
The game begins with four players, each playing against each other for the top prize. They may not converse with each other, although this is pretty much understood since giving another player the answer would decrease another's chances of winning more money.
Each question is timed according to the U.S. WWTBAM syndicated format for the first fourteen questions; 15 seconds for the first five questions, 30 seconds for the next five, and 45 for the next four. The final question is untimed.
All players answering a question correctly split the money earned (e.g. if all four answer the $300,000 question correctly, each gets $75,000). An incorrect answer leaves the player with nothing (as there are no safe havens) and eliminates the player from the game. Any player can walk away in between questions after seeing the Millionaire Menu, however they cannot walk away during a question. When walking away, the contestant earns the amount that they had immediately before doing so (although the other contestants' totals do not increase until answering another question correctly).
There are three passes, which can be used up until the thirteenth question, inclusive. These are "open lifelines"; they can be used by anyone by saying "pass", however the three lifelines are shared by all four players. This means that at least one person cannot pass, however more than one person can pass per question. When a question is passed, the player earns the amount for the question as if it were a correct answer.
The game ends when all players have either walked away, answered incorrectly, or won the game.

Alright, that's it. If anyone needs something clarified, then please do ask. ^^ All criticisms are welcome; just remember that I do not want the normal format replaced, this was just an idea that I got this morning.
