Here is a very intriguing question...
During the filming production of 2008's "Slumdog Millionaire," was the real KBC set used for the scenes shot with lead role Jamal Malik and host, Prem Kumar? Or was a new set build from scratch specially for the movie?

I think it was a dummy set because if you compare the studio, the host entrance space in KBC set is quite narrower than the one shown in slumdog millionaire movie , second thing if you remember the scene where Jamal gets kidnapped by the police outside the studio, it's not the real set exit, I've seen the entire KBC studio, I've also went for shoots as audience and also seen the backstage with one of my cousins who is in the production team even he says that this is not the set use in the movie when I asked him just like that once

Don't forget, the current KBC set does not look like how it did during the time of the filming of "Slumdog Millionaire." I believe filming began in 2007, which at the time, was the running on KBC 3 with Shahrukh Khan as host. Comparing the set of KBC 3 and Slumdog Millionaire, they seem to be very similar, minus some stage color lighting, which they did not use for the movie, they kept coloring very basic.

You're right about the colouring but if you compare that distance between to arcs of host entrance in the movie and KBC 3 you'll come to know and let me tell you my cousin ka in the production team from the date KBC started I. E donate from the year 2000 , so I don't think he is wrong ,I'll ask him again no worries
