The preemption was not unexpected given today’s awful events. Hopefully the marathon finds its way back to the schedule soon and Sunday night’s episode is adjusted accordingly.

Just checked The Futon Critic, and it appears that the marathon isn't happening. Episodes 10-12 have been rescheduled as a result of yesterday's events, but the season finale slated for January 31st has been replaced with Episode 13. My guess is that they might do the marathon with the last three episodes, but I'm not entirely sure about that.

Interesting. We will have to keep a close eye on the schedule. Another weekday marathon seems likely since extending the season might throw off other scheduling plans.

So, I’ve just seen the updated demographics profile. Millionaire actually did above 3.05m last Sunday. Woo-hoo!

The new ABC Game Shows did solid last night, (with even Celebrity Wheel getting over 7 million) - I still think Millionaire's biggest issue is the time slot.

Obviously, it has a lot of appeal, but it’s not the game for me. I very much enjoyed the Chase and the Hustler, but you’re absolutely right about the time slot. I never thought that made sense. Millionaire had problems with its time slot when it first came back in April. |

The Hustler is great. Craig Ferguson is one of the best hosts in the business.
It does appear that Millionaire’s ratings woes are tied heavily to its time slot. Hopefully, ABC realizes that, too.

The slot is unfortunately the problem. That’s why I wish we saw the marathon on Wednesday, so we could’ve seen the ratings for it then. I just hope that if the show gets renewed for a season 3, Davies and ABC will put 2 and 2 together. |

I can’t say I really enjoyed tonight’s episode. There was a lot of chit chat, people not being smart with their lifelines, weird questions. Not to mention, they basically offered free money on one of the questions.
It’s been a while since there’s been a civilian contestant, too. Hopefully, that’ll change soon. Three straight celebrities in one episode is a lot.
Yet, I keep watching because I want the ratings to be sustainable enough that I can go on myself, even though I’m enjoying other quiz shows at the moment, too, and I have no shortage of spending my week watching them. Tonight could’ve been better.

I agree that having three celebrities in a row is a bit taxing. At least our next contestant is another civilian, so we can look forward to that.
And we get to end the season with Millionaire veteran Ray Romano trying to beat his previous record of $125,000.

Preliminary ratings show that Millionaire had 2.97m.
Will keep an eye out on the finalized ratings though, but I bet it’s gonna go over 3m as well.

Idk honestly. Some people aren’t optimistic and they’re thinking the show’s getting axed, and it’s really sad.
