So they acknowledge Cedric's time as host, but they don't acknowledge Chip Esten as one of the $500,000 winners?

My guess is that they only mention the celebrities that won $500,000 on the primetime version only.

The low ratings could have easily been avoided had ABC done the following:
A: Reserve the celebs for certain months such as, say, Sweeps; the Nikki Glazer fiasco back in April certainly didn’t help one bit.
B: Put it back on Wednesdays. Or at least a better slot. What sensible network would try to compete with football of all things? I know, I’m repeating. But I need to make a point here.
And C: Give it better production values. I still can’t believe they chose to forego confetti on the $1,000,000 win (not just any win, the first US millionaire in normal play since 2003!), and the graphics are quite cheap.
In hindsight, the new US Millionaire certainly didn’t live up to the hype. Davies has lost his touch, while Jimmy only shows ANY enthusiasm when civilians play, and rightfully so. The show is screwed. Again. Hopefully not for good. I acknowledge I may come off as cynical, but I don’t want it to die.
As for the episode, Cedric definitely showed more energy than Jimmy, even if he would have done better on another game show, a more comedy-style game show like Family Feud.

I enjoyed the last two weeks episodes. I mostly agree with the previous comment that production doesn’t seem to be getting much better, but I do think it’s better than the first episodes from the revival. What a shame that this weeks episode was the lowest rated yet. I love Cedric, he is just too cool and I love the way he taught Jimmy how to say “let’s play Millionaire”. Jimmy could take some lessons from him. Amanda and the Toy Story question was great TV. They just need more moments like this, and last weeks episode, and stop with the celebrities. It’s too much. It’s funny I have been seeing advertisements for Celebrity Wheel of Fortune and thought that could be interesting. Not sure what it is but Millionaire and celebrities obviously isn’t working, and ABC needs to learn. It’s not the show, it’s them!! Lemme just say as a huge Disney fan, that Toy Story question was sooooo easy. I could've answered that with no hesitation. But I don't know if that should be a $125,000 question considering how popular the Toy Story franchise is and that movie was released a year ago. I do pity those who haven't seen the movie yet cuz that question was pretty much a spoiler too.

What bothered me on Sunday between Amanda and Cedric was they left their lifelines on the table. They’re there for a reason. Did Amanda not have anybody else to call besides the person that I assume was her fiancée? I didn’t know her question, since I don’t know the Toy Story franchise that well.
What’s up with Cedric that he had all three lifelines and didn’t call anybody? That was disappointing, so was the return of the celebrities, after such a great episode of all civilians. I did like how Jimmy advertised the show as deserving people winning money, instead of celebrities putting on their thinking caps.

Dear Producers,
Can we have Cedric back, pretty please?
The episode was quite easy-going, I think, a little schmooze from that great last week's episode. Loved loved LOVED Cedric actually bringing some exciting host energy into the show, he cut Jimmy's monotony better than anyone has before him, I think.
Amanda's ending was quite shocking, although it seems we're both in the rare minority of having the Toy Story franchise as a weak spot, as I would've gone Forky too. (Although, to be honest, I did misread the answer as Porky, which made me think of Hamm.) I have to repeat myself again, but it was actually exciting and enticing to see her have to risk her own money and put her own stake into the questions, something you don't really find with them celebs going around.
Welp, don't remember how many shows we have left, but I suppose it's best to try to enjoy them before it's all over.

Not only is Millionaire back on Sunday, but a Millionaire-A-Thon on Wednesday. It’s exciting, but scary at the same time. I fear it could backfire, but I hope not.

It looks like Sunday night episodes will continue afterward, so it’s not a complete burn off. I wonder if they are testing how the show performs on weeknights.

If that were true, wouldn’t it be better to test it with a singular episode instead of three at once? We know what happens when you run an excess of something, especially with Millionaire.

Who says that celebrities can’t be exciting? Of course, there does tend to be more excitement, drama and tension involving civilians, but celebrities can be part of this, too. Rebel Wilson was fantastic, and I couldn’t believe how gutsy she was.
Sure, it might’ve been more exciting if it was a civilian doing the exact same thing, but I also marveled at Rebel’s performance tonight. What a great job by her.

Rebel played a gutsy game, for sure. She also took the game very seriously. That seems to be what makes a difference between good and bad celebrity contestants. The bad ones just want to crack jokes and chit-chat to avoid having to think, while the good ones stay calm and focus on the actual game. Rebel’s charity will reap the benefits of her being a strong contestant.

Millionaire did nearly 2.95m, this is a nice bump from the show before that. The previous show did 2.5m.

Millionaire did nearly 2.95m, this is a nice bump from the show before that. The previous show did 2.5m. It’s nice that it’s been better. To get above three million again would certainly be beneficial. It tells me that people do like Millionaire, but there’s a right way and a wrong way to go about things. I think people missed it, or at least, I’d like to think so. I know I did.
