They've got all 4 lifelines. Graphics and music cues are the same as UK. Except with the black question lozenge instead of blue (like the last US season).

Also, for anyone going tomorrow, be aware that they aren’t taping “episodes”, they’re taping full celebrity runs. Then at the end of every game, they tape two possible endings, one with the horn and one going to commercial break. They’ll puzzle them into hour-long episodes after. So no carry-over contestants.

I've seen a short clip on instagram, and they seemingly placed the stairs right next to the pillars now, which gives the set a slightly more classic feel! Is it possible for you to share the link here? I tried finding it, but I'm currently on mobile.

I gotta admit, someone shared the clip with me, I didn't find it myself (even though I'd love to, but that's difficult without the "Recent posts" option for #wwtbam...). So I don't have the actual link. But if I find a way to share it here, I'll do so!

That’s annoying that the music cues still aren’t right, but I can definitely see how the celebrities playing together adds more tension. Anything is better than the celebrity yelling over his or her shoulder to a companion.
I’ll take added tension as a huge win!

I am waiting till post production to make a call on the music cues. The first day they played the $1,000-$32,000 and $32,000-$1 million cues accurately, but I noticed on day 2 they just had the soft heartbeat going. It might sound different post production. There was no $100-$1000 music played at all and I remember it being like this when I saw it in New York. Why don’t they play that music in studio?
Jimmy forgot to say “let’s play Millionaire” a few times so we didn’t hear the $32,000 cue but they went back and did it again at the end. Jimmy needs to get with it with the Let’s Play Millionaire line, it’s one of the most important parts. Sometimes he says let’s play WWTBAM sometimes he said Millionaire. I wish he would keep it consistent. He was sleepy on day 2.
I thought the lighting looked good. It looked like the UK version. One thing that is slightly annoying if you are sitting in the VIP section on the floor you cannot see the question when the contestants ask the audience. When you are in the stands you can see it on the tv monitors. I need to see it to be accurate. The ask the audience buzzers are different. They are using reply minis. People were wearing them around their neck on the first day and by the next show they figured out it looked bad on camera. So future shows they said don’t wear them on your neck. They almost discarded a question day 1 because audience member acting goofy and clapping. Jimmy got on them about it but Michael Davies came out and talked to the audience explaining the seriousness and warning that that question was almost discarded. I had never heard of some of the celebrities playing. I am in that photo you posted above lol.

I attended the taping on Friday and today and yup, the music definitely feels much softer/quieter than Friday. As for the $100-$1000 music not playing, it's because they have to cut out some of the boring part and the $100-$1000 cue does not sync up well compare to the other cue, hence why it's not played and added in post-production instead. The lighting in my opinion looks much better than the UK version; the three tiers are easy to tell rather than looking like one tier 90% of the time. Speaking of Jimmy, I do feel for him because he has to record all day long so he may forgot a few things. In fact, the warm-up lady mentioned that he looks exhausted during one of the breaks. About the keypad, I wore it on my neck during my first day but then quickly found that to be awkward so I wrapped it around my hand instead .

If you arrive half an hour before the time on the ticket, you'll be fine. The "priority" doesn't seem to matter at all, they don't even really look at the ticket, just a quick glance to make sure you have one. I didn't go to both sessions in one day but I saw other people who did. They are struggling to get audience, that's why there's such a high number of paid background actors in attendance. As for the vibe, it's definitely a mix of the old and the new, but more of the new. Jimmy hosts the same way he did in Covid, which is good or bad depending on your preferences. The music and lighting cues are the same as 2020, which is to say not super tight or always accurate (a few missed "lights down" cues). One interesting change is they have removed the second milestone win cue and replaced it with the $32,000 non-milestone win cue and lights-down from the UK version, even though $32,000 IS always a milestone in the US. The celebrities were really funny most of the time, and the game itself works much better than the Covid seasons. They are a pair of celebrities playing together, and having to agree on their answer, not one celebrity looking back for help at their more knowledgeable friend behind them, which means there is tension all the way up the tree, not just unlimited "gimmies" until $32,000. So I'd say of all the celebrity specials even going back to Regis, it's definitely got the most tension in it. They're playing for charity, but they're actually playing the game properly (most of them, anyway). About the music, they fixed it on today's taping, so Q10 now plays the proper sfx and lights down theme I think chances are they'll fix it during post-production, so we'll see.

From what I've read so far, this sounds like a huuuuge improvement for the most part! And I'm glad to hear the colour schemes look better than before - wow, even better than in the UK! Are they very different compared to the UK version or the previous US seasons? Or are they just easier to tell apart now (they all looked too blue-ish back then)?

Went to yesterday's final taping (in Stage 29 at Sony Pictures Studios), and had a few thoughts: Jimmy felt tired on the first pair of guests, and really struggled with Ask the Audience. His sister, doing the warm-up, had mentioned there was no break for him between JKL and Millionaire, so he had a long week. Alec (the Stage Manager) just rocked it, and even given that it was a one-off taping after 3 years, the overall experience went pretty smoothly. As with others reporting, there were lots of paid audience members. We had a good time. It felt like Millionaire and was great to have an audience. I wore a Play It! pin on my lapel and I'm hoping I at least get a reflection or something on it. I said Hi to Michael Davies during a quick break and he acknowledged me and said Hi and noted my YT/hosting video I did in 2020, and I felt that made it all worth it. It's sad that Millionaire is only basically being taped contractually, with celebrities - but it's nice it's still around in the US in some way, and for that I am grateful. Spoiler section for graphics and such (no gameplay spoilers): {Spoiler} Graphics: - The clock on for PAF is now like a question clock on KBC or others. I'm guessing because every group was 2 people and a clock on the right was hard to frame.
- Lifeline Lozenge is now a small Lozenge above the question that doesn't block the answers. Dennis showed it a lot during the tapings, and I'm glad.
- The ATA graph now shows percentages too fluctuating during the "calculating" section.
- They are still using the Vertical "X" instead of returning to the horizontal "X" like the UK Millionaire did for the used lifelines.
Lighting:
- As others mentioned, the tier lighting was more clear, with super bright for Tier 1, a little dimmer for Tier 2, and classic blue-dark for Tier 3. I think this worked and looked great, can't wait to see what the final shots look like.

Do they use the same style as before (UK inspired fused with Classic era) or are they now using the Olga era? Are they using Classic or Rave cues?

Like in Russia from 2011 to 2022, you mean? This plus the absence of the q1-5 cues Next they'll be using the "into the hot seat" cue as the intro and use the extra-high-risk format!

Michael Davies and Jimmy drove right up to the stage and parked their cars on the side of the building. I went around the side, saw Michael driving in, then behind him comes a black SUV with blackened windows and one of the celebrities heads popping out. Then they ask me where studio 29 is. So I told them where to go.
