I’m not gonna get into the game and the outcome, but I am gonna say that I’m really impressed with how much they’ve improved everything. The production quality went up compared to the pandemic seasons and that isn’t a common occurrence. It’s definitely one of my favorite versions now.

And it was nice to see John Carpenter again! Just think that Carpenter's win was almost a lifetime ago for him. 25 years ago, and he was 31 at the time.

3.77m/0.44 for the premiere. Decent numbers, I expected it to do worse, given how everything’s declining.
Edit: It was the most watched primetime show both overall and in the 18-49 demo. It even beat TPiR xD

It even beat TPiR xD That's what I don't think is surprising. As it is the first episode in 4 years and the first episode to have post-COVID audience, people are looking forward to a lot of things.

Does anyone know what cue was playing behind the charity videos? It sounded like a variation of Explain the Rules, but I wasn't sure.

Does anyone know what cue was playing behind the charity videos? It sounded like a variation of Explain the Rules, but I wasn't sure. The same cue was used after David Chang's win too. It's not part of any of the packages I have, but I've been wanting it for a long time. To me, it sounds like a variation of the Ask The Host music.

So there will be a new 1 Million Dollar Winner this season... A new Promo aired On one hand, it's nice to hear that we have another top-prize winner (or in this case, winners) in the States. On the other hand…can the marketing please stop spoiling who wins? It only worked in the UK because that was part of a daily strip, with Donald's win happening on that Friday, and IIRC that got a ratings uptick. It didn't work here as they sprinkled it out throughout the episode (the title, the GMA promo, etc.), plus it airs weekly, so they probably weren't going to get a good ratings uptick if viewers knew someone won. I know I'll get flack for saying all of this, but it makes me feel like the marketing team hasn't learned their lesson from the last two seasons. Despite all of this, I do hope they bring the confetti drop back for this. I know Davies said it didn't happen due to COVID, but I don't think there should be an issue this time around.

I just hope we don't have to hear about metallic testicles this time.

Not sure if you've seen this already, but here's an interview of Jimmy on the set talking both family and about the show and his other projects. Also a explanation of the host screen + screen below (3:06) youtu.be/TwsyXM1GX2w?t=186

They're using the newer UK system by KPX (Kinetic Pixel) It's also the exact same Software by Cat & Mouse from 2002.
Kinetic Pixel modifed the computer system from 2018 - present
Here's some screenshots of the UK computer system by KPX/Cat & Mouse:
This is from the UK Covid era

I do agree with you - there are better ways of trying to imply a top prize winner in marketing, but I guess ABC are not good at trying to build suspense so that people can get the sense of "Will they or won't they", meaning more engagement and possibly more interest.
