In regards to Cousin Sal/Ross's taping: a ton of stuff was cut from that episode, including some casual roasting of audience members, our ATA vote, and like 90% of the comedy between Jimmy and the two of them. Pretty disappointing, it was *really* entertaining in person. They made a way bigger deal about the family being at the taping too, and went back and forth with them a ton during the recording. Based on it being the last taping, I feel they expected their run to sorta be a "big finale" and it didn't really work out that way.

Based on it being the last taping, I feel they expected their run to sorta be a "big finale" and it didn't really work out that way. I can confirm this as well; it's so disappointing they cut off a lot of the stuff that happened in the studio, such as the lady with the flower on her hair (they made jokes about her while debating one of the question) and the big fella (can't recall what happened that led to that moment but I think it was related to the question about Richard Nixon). This, along with Ray and Brad's episode, are some of the best episodes I've attended in-person. I wish they release a full cut of this episode but it is unlikely that it'll happen. A bit of context regarding what was cut: - The lady with flower on the hair: While the two were answering questions, they took notice of a lady in the audience with flower decoration on her hair. Later on, during the $64k question, they joked that her flowers must be dead due to them taking a while figuring out the answer to the question. That joke was then tied with the joke of Meals on Wheels where Jeff Ross said there are people starving. - Big fella: While trying to figure out the $125k question, the pair saw a big fella in the audience. He was then asked to stand up and the producers of the show recorded a segment involving him. I cannot recall what the pair said, but I think they compared him to the answers given, either "big enchilada" or "top banana". It's a little detail, but it added connection between contestants with the audience of the show, so it was unfortunate to see those two segment not being aired; it made the show felt rushed, but I think the cut was made to accommodate the 40-ish minute timeslot.

Tonight’s celebrities didn’t exactly set the Hot Seat on fire, but Jimmy once again proved himself very valuable as a lifeline!
Next week, Zach Braff and Donald Faison will play for the million, followed by Ike and Alan Barinholtz. The week after is arguably the most anticipated episode featuring Ray Romano with Brad Garrett and Jason Ritter with Natasha Leggero.

John Mulaney and Nick Kroll were my favorite contestants so far. Their run was hysterical and dramatic!

What do you all think about 2 contestants per episode vs rollover?
I think its fine for weekly episodes but the editing is really rough. It seems like they filmed the host entrance once per episode, a few commercial breaks, then the run itself and slapped it together. They seem to cut small things to shave a few frames. The question lozenge is already on screen when they cut to the wide shot; I looked back at the first season and they played the whole thing. Lights up and down are cut short or don't exist. I'm confused how its like this and theres no FFF to take up even more time! If they do another season (fingers crossed) they should make it the 12 question format to save time and we already know they're guaranteed $32,000.

The intros, the commercial breaks, the "25th anniversary" interviews and the contestant games are all pieced together from different episodes. The audience directly behind Jimmy changes from shot to shot sometimes. Having attended most of the tapings, the commercial breaks are often not edited where they actually happened in the taping, and it's pieced together to ensure two full runs can air in an hour. Not ideal, but probably for celebrity episodes, it works the best for promotional purposes.

Overall I'm having a good time watching these episodes. I think I'd say Sophia and Alex are my favorite pair so far. I'm excited to have new WWTBAM to watch, ever since my interest was revived by watching reruns of all the old Regis episodes on GSN recently. It definitely does raise some eyebrows how conveniently they always fit exactly two runs into every episode though.

So far, out of the 5 episodes we have seen, what is everyones favorite episode? John Stamos & Dave Coulier is my favorite episode so far, mainly because it was the first taping I attended and them praying on their knees was pretty unexpected. I had a really good laugh at that moment

Well, I was told it was going to happen at some point. There were some things I liked about it, including a couple of Millionaire firsts, but I didn’t like the sound cues at all at the end.
Still, great episode. I’m happy to have seen it.

I'd never heard of either of those two guys before, but what a run! And Jimmy continues to come through as an incredibly valuable lifeline!
When I saw how much time was left when they'd already made it through about half of their stack, I began to suspect this might happen though.

The time left in the episode also tipped me off. Amazing run. The ending was a little rushed to the credits, mostly time constraint issue with how it’s formatted.

This version just had its first truly iconic moment with Jimmy coming through with that answer. That was great television! Ike and his dad had a decently difficult stack of questions and they navigated it with ease. Kudos to both of them and to Jimmy for being the international Ask the Host MVP!
