I'd never heard of either of those two guys before, but what a run! And Jimmy continues to come through as an incredibly valuable lifeline! When I saw how much time was left when they'd already made it through about half of their stack, I began to suspect this might happen though. I believe Ike played by himself with no audience, so not his first time in the hot seat. I do think it was for better television, yes, very dramatic, but quite close to the ending.

At least ABC weren’t annoying with the promotion of it. Overall, the whole thing felt much better than it did four years ago. Very nice to see Jimmy help out in that stage of the game.

This version just had its first truly iconic moment with Jimmy coming through with that answer. That was great television! Ike and his dad had a decently difficult stack of questions and they navigated it with ease. Kudos to both of them and to Jimmy for being the international Ask the Host MVP! Way to go Jimmy!. Had they gone with the Audience they would have lost $468,000. It was an absolute amazing Millionaire moment.

Seems because it happened so close to the closing credits that they had to cut it off before it ended. I'm my opinion, they should have played the extended million win in place of both.

I dig that the lights actually get dark enough in the million dollar question now that the audience isn't visible at all. The close zooms with the cameras were great too, like that they even did it on Jimmy. Also comparing David Chang's win to this win, the set is SO much more lively now even ignoring the confetti.
At the same time, now we have two different takes on the million dollar win cue getting butchered. Chang's win extended it with a horribly repetitive loop and this win didn't even finish the cue lol

One thing that just dawned on me rewatching it. In addition to the audience and the confetti, one big difference with this win is Jimmy being able to actually celebrate with the Barinholzes, instead of the elbow-bump which was all he was allowed during COVID. That really makes a difference.

Tonight wasn’t too bad, did alright with the questions, I suppose. It was nice to hear the normal $32,000 sound cue, that was a pleasant surprise.
Ray Romano has played three times now, I think?
I’m happy to help the ratings, though I sure hope a civilian edition is considered soon. My girlfriend and I watched an episode during the weekend and she thinks she’d be more interested with civilians, though she’s watched with some of the celebrities. She just didn’t care for the Osbournes.
I think the pacing could’ve been better at times tonight, better sometimes than other times.

Tonight’s episode was fun! Ray and Brad were a hoot together.
My only critique is that the editing continues to be wonky. They missed several lights down cues tonight to the point where it became really noticeable.

Did I hear a remixed version of the Ask the Audience music? The purist in me doesn’t really like that.
I don’t think the first pair used all of their lifelines, did they? That’s unfortunate. I was shouting the answer at the TV while the question was still being read, as it’s a subject I’ve learned a lot about.
