That's an interesting idea, actually. Kind of a sneak peak at the later question.
That gives me another idea- what if you had a lifeline to see the next question ahead of time, to help decide whether or not to risk your cash on the current question.

That's a nice idea Regisfan! I think they should call it the "Sneak Peek" lifeline.

I just hope that Supermillionaire ACTUALLY returns to primetime again because I absolutely loved it when it was on with Regis!

Those are extrenely high hopes, but all of us here have them! I guess we'll just wait and see what Millionaire's new company, 2waytraffic, does with the franchise.

I hope 2waytraffic makes some sort of effort to bring the show back to primetime in the U.S. It doesn't have to be Super Millionaire (although I'd love that), just any version of the show in primetime, preferably with Regis.

Here's another idea I had while sitting around one day. This would be a new feature to the game called the "DOUBLE WARNING". When a new contestant comes out, a random siren and flashing lights come on and the Double Warning ensues. How this would work is, 1st, the prize values are doubled. Therefore we have $200, $400, $600 etc. So now a contestant can win up to $2 million. That's the "Double" part of the promotion.
Now comes the warning part. The questions firstly would have to be a tad harder since we're playing for double money. And then the real "Warning" comes in. There would be only one safe haven in the game, the $50,000 level. (Formerly the $25,000 level in the normal game. If a contestant misses, he/she loses it all if they are below the one safe haven.
Of course, a contestant can walk away at any time he/she pleases. This to me sounds like a pretty sweet idea... but what do you guys think?

That's a REALLY COOL idea matteymania! One thing immediately I would say is that if the "Double Warning" feature were in play that puts a LOT more pressure on you to get the questions that will be obviously increasing in diffculty right IF you want to get the big money. And dare I say could the same option be applied as if "Double Warning" instead of doubling the amounts the amounts would change to what they are on Supermillionaire (maybe called "Big Cash")?!?!?!? WOW, I think that would make syndie milllionaire a hit if there was just a random thing and Meredith were to say "instead of playing for one million dollars you have the chance to play for TEN MILLLION DOLLARS!!!!!!!". You could get all the current lifelines from Supermillionaire and everything associated with it (the lights, cameras, EVERYTHING)!!!!

MM, how often would a contestant get to play under the "Double Warning" rules? Out of all the contestants on Millionaire in a season, how many would get to play with these rules?

Ideally, it should be available for use for each contestant. For a trial run though, you could do a special "Double Warning" week, like the current "Pop Culture" and "College Week." See how the audience reacts during this week, and then take the format from there.

I like it. Maybe 2waytraffic/Celador is listening. And if they are, first and foremost, bring back Super Millionaire!

mettey's first idea is intesting. But skipping an entire question would seem unfair once you get to the 500 000 dollar level. For me, I think they should add a lifeline where you can replace the question with one with the same category as any of the previous questions. Just a random thought.

Wow. This is the return of a really old thread! To think, "Millionaire" has returned to primetime since we made all of these posts begging the powers-that-be to bring it back in 2006.
Back on topic, though. Now that "Millionaire" uses the clock format in so many countries, why not have a "Stop the Clock" lifeline?

I actually did a Stop the Clock lifeline for a Millionaire PowerPoint that I made for my class. The lifeline was available for questions 11-14.
