As most of you know by now, Jeopardy has officially announced that it will have not one, but two permanent hosts. Executive Producer Mike Richards, who joined the show last year following the retirement of Harry Friedman, will be hosting the syndicated version. As for the other host? Actress and neuroscientist Mayim Bialik (Blossom, The Big Bang Theory, Call Me Kat) will be doing primetime specials and spinoff series.
What are your thoughts on this interesting decision? Let's talk about it!

This decision was for the best. All of the controversy just did gel with Alex’s legacy of kindness and professionalism.

I honestly think of all the hosts that have the potential to really succeed Alex Trebek, Ken Jennings seems to be the best fit.

I also agree that Ken would be the best fit. GOAT contestant (and also embodies Alex's principle that the contestants are the stars), very smart, commanding, only 46, and provided comfort for fans during his six weeks as they mourned the loss of Alex. If Sony picked him in the first place this whole controversy could've been avoided. Sure there'd be a few people complaining that his name isn't LeVar Burton, but the idea of LeVar hosting would've died down quickly as more people got comfortable with Ken. Instead, Sony and Richards turned what had once been a very intellectual show relatively free of toxicity into one that would make Alex very crestfallen. Other hosts I'd be fine with: - Buzzy Cohen (only 36, also a former J! champ)
- David Faber (if Ken's the best at bringing his own style to the table, then IMO Faber's the best at replicating Alex's style, and he has said he would like to host the show full-time)
- Joe Buck (if he can somehow work out his play-by-play schedule, but he'd also be great if Sports Jeopardy! were revived and Dan Patrick were to say no)
- Aaron Rodgers (if he retires from the Packers; there's no way he can both host the show and play NFL at the same time with all the training)
- Brad Rutter (another former J! champ with some hosting experience)
- Jimmy McGuire or Sarah Whitcomb-Foss (longtime Clue Crew members who've hosted practice games for years)
- Brooke Burns (smart, personable, and also has hosting experience with two great GSN shows in The Chase and Master Minds; she also said in a December 2020 interview that she'd like to guest host)
- Alex Faust, Laura Coates, or Ben Mankiewicz (all three names Alex floated at one time or another as people he thought would be interesting options, and I can see why)

It was just announced that Mike Richards will no longer be producing Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune. Michael Davies, who produces the ABC primetime revival of Millionaire, agreed to help.

Wow! Davies is a great producer who will bring stability to the troubled production at Jeopardy. Great choice!

Good riddance to Mike Richards. Flew too close to the sun when he could've waited to take the Wheel hosting gig in a few years. I agree with the selection of Davies. Hopefully this leaves the show in good hands.

He is indeed the perfect fit.
