Hi all, I'm a newcomer  It is always nice to see someone win the top prize & hear the original 1,000,000 winning cue. Congrats to the guy! Anyway, I can't help but notice the awful mixture of cues & graphics of Hot Seat Australia that, as a purist of the original format, prevents me from enjoying the show. |

I prefer Portuguese Hot Seat, even though the FFF order cues fade in for no apparent reason (like in the Venezuelan version). |

My input on the win: I’m actually glad that someone was finally able to win the million. It’s just proof that it’s doable if you have knowledge and luck is on your side. |

It’s really awesome to see another winner in the franchise, but I have to say I was expecting Eddie to drag out the big win or show more excitement than he did.

You're right, I forgot that walking away is forbidden on Hot Seat. So no, not that gutsy. But still lucky and skillfully done!
Man, Hot Seat is a strange format. I still haven't gotten used to it after all these years.

In my opinion, Millionaire Hot Seat kind of sucks. One guy could be sitting in the hot seat, and he could "win" $100,000, get his $250,000 question wrong (he cannot walk away with $100,000) and is forced to walk away with NOTHING. The next guy wins $250,000 by getting ONE QUESTION RIGHT.
So the guy gets 13 questions right and goes home with nothing, while one guy gets lucky and gets ONE question right and wins $250,000, the money another guy worked hard for. That to me is unfair.
I'd prefer Regular Millionaire as opposed to the Hot Seat version.
