The set is pretty outdated and it feels it. VTV3 is a government owned channel so i don't know what the budget is for new tv show sets. If you ever seen their version of The Price is Right a lot of the games looked outdated and needed painting.

If you ever seen their version of The Price is Right a lot of the games looked outdated and needed painting. It all depends on the producer team's satisfaction for the studio. Maybe they can't afford on upgrading the new style design. But they could remake their current style like changing the pillar's led light into programming multi-colored something, it's quite cheap, look at Philippines once did so. The real problem is why don't the producers think about that ? The single "red" light is enough ? And I tell you what, if they keep that, it's no surprise for the decline of viewership !

In terms of the studio, I do agree how the Vietnamese set could be revamped in some form. Me personally I don't mind the actual style of the design itself. It has similar vibes of the UK set around 2010 or so. How it was revamped to appear more modern, while still retaining the classical elements. The transparent inner circle I quite like personally, and having lights underneath the glass/plastic is quite effective. So in that respect, I think it's more about using the lighting in a overall more harmonious and creative way. In terms of intricacy to make certain dynamics of the set more distinct and memorable. This is a big part of Millionaire.
For example, during different stages of the game, that does seem quite limited in scope if the studio remains red and blue throughout. In which case I find it difficult to give a rating more than a 6/10 otherwise. We can only speculate here, but should the lighting fixtures be DMX operated with RGB channels (as seems likely even a decade or longer ago), it surely wouldn't be difficult for lighting technicians to re-program them in various ways. It might depend on what creative freedom they're given by producers.
Just as a quick mock-up, I've had a go at image editing to give the set a fresh look...
Comparing the actual:
With a concept design:
What I'm trying to show here is how simply a lighting adjustment can still make a notable difference (while retaining the exact same set elements).
I've kept the blue lights on the screen stands, and also the background display where the host is standing. I think a combination of gold for the arches and floor bars, and purple with the blue hues complements better. This could then change to blue for Q6-Q10, and then a darker blue from Q11 onwards. I think the gold could be replaced with a vivid blue, and the main ambience could then support building up tension as a game progresses.
Oftentimes with anything in design, I think there's too much change for the sake of change. Yet in this instance, I do agree an enhancement in some form like this would only benefit the show's appearance. It wouldn't need to be drastic like a total redesign either, so it's more about subtleties in variety I feel.

I will not be surprised if the color of the poles remains the same all the time, I am thinking for example of the Icelandic version in which the color was turquoise (afterwards I take into account that the idea of the color changes of the poles had not did not exist at the time) Apart from the set, I find that the concept that the contestants no longer need to go through the question of speed is for me a bad idea, even worn out for my taste. The first versions to have had the idea of doing this (I'm not counting the US version, I'll tell you right now), I'm thinking of the British, French and Dutch versions, result: it didn't even last a year! The French version because never came back (the return of 2019 was catastrophic), the British version after that, they reflected 4 years later and said to themselves "we made a big mistake, we're going to put the FFF back with only 6 contestants. And the Dutch version did like the British version but with 8 contestants. It was too easy to come directly to the chair and then not win the million (even with 12 questions for some)
At least there would be the return of a little tension at the start of the show and during the show.

Already looks way better. IMHO the worst kinds of sets have always been those that needed just a tiny bit of fixing to be good. Color changing lights are nowhere as expensive as they were in the 2000s yet they add so many possibilities. Shame that VTV wasted such a good opportunity to implement a fairly cheap yet incredibly effective change when they introduced the Olga graphics.

It's a real question: Why do the very few viewers and the audience complain about the outdate of the studio ? I think they don't care about it. I don't understand, even applying the programming color-changing lights for them are too expensive ?

Applying the programming color-changing lights was a thing in the Hot Seat format back in 2010-2011, and I think those stuff still there, it's just either the budget or some people handling those didn't do that In term for the audience complain about the set, they don't bother at all, I think they watch the show to learn something, as they love the format of the show, so the set isn't really the number 1 priority

Between the property of government or private, if the studio was of private one, they would definitely change something on the set earlier or maybe at least now, just like some E-sports studios (example), they're amazing. Do you think about that suppose ?

Somehow, I think the concept makes the set look even older, like UK 2004 with the 2007 adjustments.

So yeah, it's not necessarily a modern refreshed design in that sense, since I just tried to show even lighting hue adjustments alone can make any aesthetic difference. As opposed to a production investing in a new lighting rig with redesigning physical elements of the set. It does presume the lights could be controlled to adjust colours, but it seems most modern fixtures have that ability. Also the LED powered DMX lights are flexible from a programming perspective too, so I suspect the production team could do something if they wanted to (or were allowed).

I know that some nations had paused the Millionaire show for at least 1 or 2 years, like in UK for 4 years. So in that case, is it possible to do so in Vietnam ? In my opinion, it could be the good time to rebuild the studio or at least upgrade something ? But I don't really want my nation's version to be axed :v

In fact the different reasons for taking a "break" for WWTBAM are either the lack of viewers, or the lack of economy, or either... the host has other projects and therefore it is very difficult to find another substitute host.
If you want when you see the German version, I wonder how in 23 years they manage to keep a stable audience, a format that has hardly ever changed, and the style of animation that has been the same since 1999. Not to mention always the same host (who is also the oldest who continues to present the game show)
For the Vietnamese version, if I had to estimate a break, it would be for 2 years. But the problem is that we would replace it with what ?? Because the graphics they have, well it turns out to be the latest version. The studio ?? Well it will be the same as in some countries. So nothing special. Animator ?? This is already the third change (and I think it's better than the second). Top prize ?? Come on, we're not going to go up to 500.000.000 dong (what? haha). The music ?? I have nothing to say about it (not even lol)

Even if they upgrade smth, they would record more episodes to store them to aired for months
