According to multiple sources, Buzzerblog included, Pat Sajak has announced his retirement! He will be hosting one more season and retire at the end of season 41. Do you think Vanna will stick around or will she retire at the same time as Pat? What are your thoughts on Pat?

I think Vanna will time her departure to sync up with Pat’s. Time will tell, but they’ve always spoken about leaving at the same time.
Pat is an icon. Some of Pat’s extracurricular activities have damaged his reputation a bit in recent years, but he is undeniably great at what he does and he has been the magic sauce that has kept Wheel relevant for so long. Simply put, he’s a top tier game show hist. Pat’s retirement will mark the end of a TV era, as he and Vanna are the last remaining legacy hosts still in the game.
With Pat reportedly staying on as creative consultant for three years, one wonders if his daughter (who has had a growing presence in the show lately) will get either his role or Vanna’s role when she departs.

What gets me is some people in game show groups on Facebook are saying they want either Levar Burton or Ryan Seacrest. 1) I don't see the fascination with Levar Burton. Fans demanded he fill in for a week on Jeopardy and when they finally invited him to, he absolutely bombed - it was awful. And I just can't stand Seacrest. I don't know where that name came from. I like when he comes on TV so I can change the channel. I would stop watching if either of them get the gig.

I was thinking maybe Mario Lopez for Pat Sajak's replacement. But that's just my suggestion.

Ryan is the safest possible choice. I understand the business decision behind this, but I’m not thrilled.

I for one don't see the hate for Ryan Seacrest. He's the most seasoned broadcaster on TV today, and probably the closest thing to a Dick Clark we've got.
People say he's overexposed. What would they have said about Bill Cullen back in the day?

Pat Sajak and Vanna White are proably the most iconic duo as far as game show hosts go. So, it's very sad to see at least Pat retire (not sure if Vanna will currently). But Ryan Seacrest shouldn't have been chosen in my opinion, there are numerous others that can do a much better job! But, we'll just have to wait and see when his first episode debuts...

Pat taped his final Wheel of Fortune episode today! I believe, if memory serves me correctly, it will air June 7.
