This situation is frustrating, to say the least. It seems to me like certain members of the board wish to stir up trouble, while others are genuinely having a serious conflict.
First and foremost, finalanswer19 is not having any moderating privileges revoked. I trust him, and that should be enough for anyone here, regardless of your personal feelings toward him. After all finalanswer19 has done for this community, including supplying us with official materials from the creators of Millionaire, no one should be calling for his removal from this site, or for him to be demoted on the staff. If you've shared in any multimedia on this site in the past few years, you've probably obtained files that he got for all of us to use in the first place.
Secondly, this isn't a conflict for everyone on the site to randomly take part in. It's a situation between finalanswer19, MarkGSKWebb, and, now, myself. We don't need a mob mentality on the boards. Please watch what you say.
Due to the rules of the site, I cannot simply grant MarkGSKWebb access to the Fan Games section. I made the rules, and I have to stick to them. He had a dissenting vote from an important site member, and I can't undo that. It wouldn't be fair to the people who work so hard on Millionaire fan projects and expect me to protect their work.
Now, the issue that we can actually try to resolve with a little civility is the fact that MarkGSKWebb feels that finalanswer19 has acted in a demeaning way toward him. Seeing as all of their communication was done privately, I cannot verify or deny this claim. But I can act on it, so this is what I'm going to do.
I'm asking both parties to apologize in this thread. Yes, both parties. I will not have a staff member being rude to a member, nor will I have a site member attack a staff member. We NEED to start over again on clean ground, starting right now. Without any insults, without any insinuations, I want an apology from both MarkGSKWebb and finalanswer19 in this thread. Then, we will take things from there.
I'm sorry we have to do it this way, but we need some way of starting this conflict over on clean ground, and this is how we're going to start.
