You know how it goes by now: Another year, another set and of course new twists coming! Premiere is on the 12th of August, 2024! Regarding the set, lets start with the tunnel.. Looks like a floor inside a palace!  The set reminds of KBC13 with UK-like pillars and stripes along the floor  If you look closely from certain angles, you notice that it wont be a videofloor this time around though  More to come from Sr. Bachchans Thumblr blog |

Lots of new things this season! KBC 16 introduces 2 new features! "Dugnaastra" - A option to double your money between Q6 and Q10. "Super Sawaal" - A bonus question, WITHOUT ANY OPTIONS! (We'll see how exactly both of them work)
Also here is the main link / promo for the new season! The set looks UK-like, but with many little additions!

Not sure what he says in the previously linked clip but this is more interesting! How do "Super Sawaal" (Super Question) and "Dugnaastra" work?
The "Super Sawaal" gets unlocked the moment you reach the first safetynet at Q5. Then you'll be asked a single question. This one will not have any options ABCD. You have to answer it out of your mind. If you get it right, you'll earn "Dugnaastra" The "Dugnaastra" can be used once on any Question of Tier 2 - meaning Q6, Q7, Q8, Q9 or Q10. When activated on a question, you're not allowed to use any lifelines on this particular question. But if you get it right, you'll double your money. So for example the safetynet of 320,000Rs (value of Q10) could become 640,000Rs (value of Q11) |

So the first episode has aired.
And now we fully know how KBC16 goes.
Its a classic fastest-finger-first game
just 1 question, 4 answers, put them in the right order in the fastest time possible.
The Moneytree consists of 16 questions as usually.
Top-Prize beeing 7 Crore Rs (70,000,000 Rs)
You get 3 Lifelines:
(1) Double Dip
(2) (Video-)Call A Friend
(3) Ask The Audience
There are 2 safetynets:
Question 5 - (10,000 Rs)
Question 10 - (320,000 Rs)
The clock time limits are as the following:
Question 1-5: 45 Seconds
Question 6-10: 60 Seconds
Question 11-16: No Time Limit
And then there are also KBC's 3 own features:
"Super Sawaal" - Once you reach the safetynet at Q5, you'll be asked the "Super Question".
No answer options. Get the right answer out of your mind! If you get it right, you unlock the new feature
"Dugnaastra" - Can be used in the range of Question 6 (20,000 Rs) to Question 10 (320,000 Rs)
Once the question alone is asked, you have a couple of seconds to decide if you wanna use it.
When activated, you are forced to play the current question without any lifelines available to you.
Then the clock starts and the 4 answers appear.
Get the question right and the amount of the question will be guaranteed as bonus payout, no matter of your result.
"Super Sandook" - As in the last season: 10 Questions with 4 answers, a total of 90 seconds.
You get 10,000 Rs for each correct answer.
If you get at least 5/10 correct answers, you can choose to revive a previously used lifeline.
Alternatively you can choose the keep the earnings from this side-game as bonus payout
So with these bonuses in play:
If you would play the perfect game.. you could win...
70,000,000 Rs (7 Crore on Question 16)
100,000 Rs (for 10 correct answers on Super Sandook)
320,000 Rs (for using Dugnaastra on Q10 and getting it right)
making it a grand total of 70,420,000 Rs (7,042 Crore)

Interesting! Looks to be a head-to-head format of some sort. Perhaps KBC is taking a cue from the UK’s Fastest Finger spinoff?
