I thought the lighting looked fantastic pre shuffle format during Merediths’s run. The “lights down” effect was livelier, more dramatic. Meredith was so awesome. Which do you prefer?

Even though I don't agree with the US clock format (at all) and the weird logos, the 2002 revival was overall brilliant before 2008! The screen in particular - so good, it inspired the 2006 French set, and the French version is notoriously resistant to change!

All parts of the presentation (set, graphics, music) for the US syndicated clock format are peak Millionaire. It will likely never be better!
It should be noted, though, that the syndicated version benefitted from the upgrades brought about by Super Millionaire. So the primetime set upgrades made the refreshed syndicated look possible, in a way.
