Stars

They show your rank on the boards, which goes up with your post count. So if you're a $0 rank (0-49 posts, I believe), you have one star. If you're a $1,000 rank (50 posts?), you get two stars. $32,000 rank (can't remember the number here) gets three stars. The exception to this would be moderators and administrators, which get the five blue stars.

1 star: 0-49 posts
2 stars: 50-99 posts
3 stars: 100-249
4 stars: 250-499
5 stars: 500 and up

FrankT: You, RegisFan, and any other global moderators and administrators are at 5 stars because of your position on the board (even if you were under 500 posts, you'd still be five stars). Also notice how your star color is different from "normal" members and RegisFan's.
