On the down side, we have a generic host, some incorrect music cues (at least in that video), and some liberties taken with the graphics.
On the positive side, the set looks really good, the gameplay looks fairly accurate, and even with all of the above stated flaws, it looks to be the most accurate game in years.

Here's the box art. The release date looks to be October 5.

Will the final release box have a cover like that? Those specks in the background - are they part of the design, or would they insert a shot of the studio or something?

The other Ludia games for Wii have a shiny background as well, so expect that to be the Box Art for the cover.

I'm iffy on it. It's ok, but it could use more of the Millionaire "feel". What I think they could do is add, for example, a blurred image of the set. The host's seat would be at the right edge, making the contestant in the middle and a majority of the audience on the left side.
But, this case is used on most (if not all) of their game show cases, so I see why they want to to do that.

I bet the shiny cover looks a lot better in person than it does as a still picture on the internet.

Oh they do look very nice, being that I own The Price Is Right 2010 which has a very similar cover. I just wish they'd show as I said, more of the Millionaire "feel". I finally got around to the Video of it, it has the one thing that to me was very important... No stops after the first five questions! That's always just driven me crazy. I love how the cues are played correctly (except for the correct cue on the $500-$1000 questions). But everything else looks great, actually, it looks very realistic and looks like a lot of fun! And I just read the stuff about how the online stuff. Actually, I have my hopes up! What's happened with the Price Is Right 2010 is they are going to have an online version soon (if not already out). So I'm going to stay on the positive side!

According to Amazon.com, the PC version, titled Who Wants to Be a Millionaire SB, will be released September 7 (although the game is listed as being by Encore, the box has Ludia's logo on it). The PC version feature include (according to Amazon): -Single Player: Challenge your own score and complete achievements to unlock customization options for your avatar. -Party Mode: Compete with your friends in Party Mode! Up to 4 players can play simultaneously. -Avatar Customization: Create a fully customized avatar including body, hair, face, clothing and more! -Bonus Footage & Special Rewards: Unlock bonus items and videos of the best moments from the TV show as a reward for progress in the game. The Wii and DS version doesn't comes out until October 5, however. EDIT: The PC version has a different cover:

Wow, I wasn't expecting that at all! The early release date for the PC version should tide me over until the console versions are released. Let's face it... I'll be getting them all.
That's great box art, too!

I think that Encore is publishing the PC version, while Ludia is the company that actually developed the game. I think that's usually the way Encore handles game releases, although I could be wrong.

Some thoughts:
-If they're including videos from the TV show, that could mean that Regis and/or Meredith could be in the game after all, at least in video form. I think the in-game host will still be generic, though. -I wonder if Ludia only has the rights to the 2008 music, and that's why the first tier correct answer cues and milestone cue are wrong in that video (because those particular cues are from the original soundtrack). Of course, that could simply be a mistake on the developers part that may or may not carry over into the final product.
