Minute to Win It begins it's Million Dollar Mission tonight. At the end of every show, an audience member is selected to get one shot at the infamous (and insanely hard) million dollar game, "Super Coin".

I think they need at least one other million dollar game, for variety.
Also, it's annoying when they show "Million Dollar Mission Coming Up" throughout the show, ESPECIALLY at the beginning when you know it won't happen for about another 50 minutes.
But really I think this just means that they don't feel like they can make MtWI as it is, exciting. And NBC also can't come up with another name besides "Million Dollar Mission". Who here has watched Deal or No Deal?

I did, I completely remember "Million Dollar Mission." Really, the only reason that they are doing that, is because the NEED ratings for the show. Last I heard, the show is struggling to maintain. I like the show, but I don't like the "Million Dollar Mission" idea.

Gotta say the couple that was on this week was literally destroying the game and they meant business, especially in the higher tiers. Winning the $125,000 game in like 4 seconds, seriously?! Then owning the $250,000 game with plenty of time to spare! Can't wait till next week. Going for $500,000 with all 3 lives is not something I was expecting for a long time, if ever. My guess is they win the next game and decide to quit even with their $250k guarantee. I don't know of anyone who would risk ANY amount of money on Super Coin even with all 3 lives. I hope I'm wrong though!

Wow, the level 3/$5,000 game "Bite Me" was EXACTLY the same game played as the level 6/$75,000 game in the Australian version - 5 bags, the lowest one in the US version being the same height as the lowest one in the AU version ! Please note that you can only view the video through this embedded player, as on the Youtube pages, it is blocked.

It's actually blocked on the embedded page too since it pulls the same video from YouTube. NBC is being pretty nazi right now with Minute to Win It videos and copyrights for a few different reasons.
I have several videos I would upload, but I'm not gonna risk my youtube account over it, at least until they ease up on the pressure on copyright claims.
On a side note, last night's game was pretty good with the continuing couple from last week. I don't blame them for their decision. They did great. The second team up there though was pretty one sided. Everyone I was watching it with felt like the 23 year old kid was trying to hog the show and the woman was ticked off about it.

You know it is pretty sad, but I have yet to see an actual episode of this show. I have seen clips here and there but I just haven't had the time to sit down and watch it. And the bummer part is, that I really want to lol. I really have to try and check this show out.

Wow.....just, WOW.
I have never seen any of these challenges (at least, the U.S. hasn't ran them, as far as I know), but I was stunned at this guy's performance, all the way up to the very end. I was fairly certain that Double Trouble would screw him over, but on the last try, he got it. After all that, I don't blame him for walking away from $1 Million.
Oh, and bl5965, anything in Australia I should see? I'm vacationing down there in less for 9 or 10 weeks fall of 2012.

That was amazing! He just flew up there! I am so happy for him and his family! Conversion of the money he won: Australlian Dollars to US Dollars: 458,631.45590 US Dollars Australlian Dollars to British Pounds: 288,249.87943 British Pounds If you want any other amounts converted, let me know! And plane852, you're lucky, I would love to visit Australia, I've heard it's just a lot of fun to visit!

I was most shocked by his "Double Trouble" and how easily he passed "Don't Tip The Joker", for $50,000 on his first go, when it has toppled 2 contestants for $250,000 on the US version.
Also, congratulations to the team on the US show who reached $250,000 with 3 lives, but lost them all on level 9.
@plane852, it would depend on where you were visiting, but if you are "city person", then definitely Sydney and Melbourne, if you wanted a bit more of an "outback adventure", I would fly to Uluru, NT (in the middle of Australia, one of it's main icons) and the Great Barrier Reef in QLD - the world's largest coral reef system.

Can't really think of another way to say it, so I'll just come right out with it. The last episode of the Million Dollar Mission was just a total let down to me. They hyped it up like it was going to be something big and awesome and it just wasn't. The contestants for the main game weren't really that impressive, and the Supercoin player just gave me the impression that she was more concerned about breaking a nail handling the quarters than actually winning. Oh well, maybe next time. =/

I'm still confused on how they allocate blueprints for money amounts - with the super team who won $500,000, they played Backflip as Level 2/$2,500, while with this office couple, they played the exact same game as Level 7/$125,000. What's with this - extra $122,500 with no increase in difficulty?

You mean you don't know? They have blindfolded monkeys throwing darts at a giant poster on the wall with all the games on it to determine the order.
This week's game lineup:
Level 1 : Don't Blow the Joker Level 2 - 9 : Doesn't matter Level 10 : Super Mega Coin (Land 3 consecutive quarters)
***
In all seriousness, if I had to guess I'd say the games are custom tailored for each contestant or couple. We keep hearing these references of "Minute to Win It Camp" or something along those lines where the contestants practice the games. I'm sure they take notice of which ones they have more trouble with than others and build the game layout accordingly.

What Mech is saying sounds correct, I would assume that would be how they do it, provided they have the camp.
Also, that was a good joke, I would love to see them have one "special" week where they do that!
