Oh I started making it the day I saw the Super Millionaire software, it's still lacking a lot though, and much harder to control than the non PowerPoint software, but there was enough substance to have a good entertaining quiz, most of the animations were just based on previous PowerPoints.

Do you think you'll be able to post the link of the previous version when it's done?

Hey, how are the developers going on this? Anyway, I'm making a host screen PowerPoint and it is working really well! Basically, I have each slide the size of 2 square slides (so it is double in length) and that's split in half. On the left is the player screen, on the right is the host screen. Since they are on the same slide, the host screen controls the player screen. For presentation, I am using a plug-in called PowerShow which has a wonderful capability of being able to split a slide onto 2 screens, so on on screen, he have the contestants stuff, on the other, we have the host! It works perfectly! I've created the instruction slides, fastest finger slides, 2x Tier 1 questions, 2x Tier 2 questions and 1x Tier 3 question. I also made an intro video for it, when I use it in my school quiz. Have a guess at how my format works Clickable Thumbnails

Well, I'm creating the software little by little. When it reaches completion, I've decided to distribute only 10 copies of it, naturally to really trusted members of the site, via a special and unique password. The first people I thought were Regisfan, Frank, BL, Mech and Finalanswer, but I can't make the Top 10... if anyone wants it, and if you think you meet the elegibility requirements, feel free to PM me for permission. Thank you! ---------------- Requirements: ---------------- - To be, at least, ONE YEAR OLD. Normally, this type of software is sought by Millionaire enthusiasts who join any type of community in which material is distributed, and in most of the cases, they get what they want, reverse-engineer it, and claim it as their own.
- To be VERY TRUSTWORTHY, because this software gimmicks the real deal, and because it is a very sensible material. BL can understand me in this, as several, "non-licensed" versions have appeared on the internet lately.
- Not to have any type of INCIDENCE OR PROBLEM in the forums. I don't want my software to fall on the wrong hands, and if it does, I'll be really responsible for this, as I have handed out the software.
- To have, at least, 75 CONSTRUCTIVE POSTS, not just one-liners or dead-thread-revivers. If I find in any candidate's post count that he/she has revived threads of about 4-6 months old, it will be disqualified.
---------------- Members: ---------------- None as of yet. ---------------- Side note: ---------------- If a person posts in a thread that has been revived not so long ago, will it still count as a dead-thread revival?

Let's see how old I am here...
Okay, 9 months. Seems like I'm not okay with the first requirement. Even if I'm reading this board for more than a year now.
At least I think we would all love to see a demo of it!

Once a dead thread has been revived, as long as the new posts are constructive, I think those are okay. It's the revivers themselves that clearly have nothing to say. I'm honored to be on your shortlist, millionaire94. I can't wait to see what your software can do!

Hi everyone,
I am the creator of the wwtbam project on Sourceforge. I stumbled across your message board while I was looking to update the software, and I am very happy that others have found it and were interested in trying it out.
I originally wrote the code about 5 years ago as a project to teach myself OpenGL, and because I was interested in having a game where I could program my own questions easily. However, since I'm not a full time programmer, the code is a real mess and is very difficult to modify if you didn't write it yourself. Also, the sounds included with the game were recorded from the original PC game at the time on my old laptop, which is why they aren't very good.
Since people have shown interest in improving the game, I would like to rebuild the code in such a way as to make it easy for others to contribute to it. If anyone has suggestions about how to do this or what they would like to add, I would be interested in hearing them. Thanks again for taking interest!

Hi there nyknicks9599! Welcome to the boards!
Anyway, if you come looking for some fan input, you've come to the right place! I might be the first to say it around here, but your new version really improves gameplay already! (although it only accepts dollars as currency and it lacks a host screen...)
I don't have any idea about OpenGL (I'm trying to replicate the software myself using VB6), but my idea for a big improvement would be this: if it was possible, to create another application which controls and modifies the game (money tree/walk away values, text on the logo, on-screen messages, question database and stacks... impossible, I know...)
So, in a nutshell, along with what other members said various posts ago, that's what I want the software to be...
PS: Is it true that the graphics are drawn to the software "by hand"? (i.e. they're drawn as a collection of points and lines)
PS2: If possible, could we help you launch both the website and the forum of your project? (I've taken a look at them, and they don't seem to help...)

First off, the sound quality was generally shoddy, so I've gone through and replaced nearly every single cue - however this was a quick job, so if something is missing, please let me know. This download is here (about 143 mb - I know it is double the size of the supplied cues, but quality is much higher). www.megaupload.com/?d=G16FVZRUYou did a fantastic job on this soundpack, bl. I do have one contribution, for those who want it. Here is the extended Million Win cue that has been used on US Millionaire since Kevin Olmstead's win. It's ready to be popped right in to the game, and if anybody wants to use it for other purposes, that's fine too.
