I'm flattered that you guys want to honor the fifth anniversary of this site! I never imagined "Millionaire Fans" would get this big, and it's been great watching the fan community grow over the past five years. It's been a true joy to operate this site and meet other fans, and I never thought this tiny board would attract so many people from around the world.
The purpose of this thread is to determine the best way to celebrate our fifth anniversary. The idea that I had combines the concept of the RPG and the live production that many of you were discussing together to really do something special that all fans can enjoy. My idea was to put on a site RPG, in which everyone who wants to take part can do so, no matter where he or she lives or when he or she is available. Then, after it's over, the entire community can work together to produce our own episode of "Millionaire," made by the fans, for the fans. We can utilize our talented fan game creators and video producers to make a product for the entire international community. The RPG would be like the script, and the video would set it all in motion. We could have polls to pick which rules and lifelines we want to use, plan everything out, and create the episode of "Millionaire" that we've all wanted to see for so long.
But, I'm also open to other ideas. Let's brainstorm what we want to do in this thread, and then start putting things in motion. What do you all think?

I like the idea! It's something that would be entertaining to do! Now we need to decide which format to use. Personally, the classic or US timed would work the best.
Classic because everybody's used it before, and US timed since it has been one that we've used for so long.
That's my idea.

Well what I thought was to go back to the old days, do it like the German 10th Anniversary thing, and hold the biggest classic episode EVER!!! And then we'll invite even the oldest members on the FORUM! Like Kevin and matteymania!

Okay, so we don't want to do the timed game. That's fine with me. Do we want to do regular primetime Millionaire or Super Millionaire?

Well, By the looks of it you have decided to dump the clock, but I still have an idea. Knowing how many formats of the show air around the world (US Clock, UK, etc) we could do this:
15 Questions with classic money tree
First 10 up against the clock
PAF, ATA and 50:50 plus maybe one extra lifeline afer q10
In terms of the graphics/music, we could use the classic score, with the S7 US clock music (and possibly the lights down cue as well) The most debatable one is the theme music, so Classic, New UK, or US S7?

The classic theme is...classic, The UK's theme is the rave and US S7's has some ticking and super millionaire-like remix hmmmm how about a remix of all three, if someone here knows how to make a remix of them.

What I could also do is re-edit the US clock theme to be more classic-like in structure

I like antovolk's idea a lot because it mixes the UK, US, and other versions all together! I think it would make everybody happy since their format is used in some way or another. (e.g. US-Clock; UK-Extra lifeline and no clock after 10th question; etc.)

That was my first idea - take all the formats around the world and combine it into one mega-format!

Hmmm, I like that idea. We could either fuse all the formats together, OR have each contestant play through a different version of the game, each version hosted by its respective host. That way, multiple RPGers could play the host that they want to play, as well as be contestants.
Heck, even if we fuse the formats, we could still rotate the hosts!

The switching-hosts thing is a good idea actually! We can have, let's say, 3 hosts all coming on for the start of the show, and then taking turns to host (Fastest Finger First onwards until the end of the contestant's run)
