From September 4th the show will have some changes. First, the contestant has a chance to choose the game version he/she will play. If the contestant chooses the old version, it's a classic game (3 lifelines, 2 safe levels). Another option is to select the new (risk) variant as in German version. The contestant has only 1 safe level at his/her choice but an additional lifeline appears. It's Double Dip but here in Russia it's called "a possibility to make a mistake". I think they saw some info about Drop because after question 5 the host will give the contestant real money (not cheques, as earlier in 1999-2001). If the contestant decides to continue the game, he/she returnes the money to the host. This is a rather unique element for Russian game shows. Another thing that has been changed is phone-a-friend. I's the mix of the old lifeline and the "extended audience lifeline" from German version. The contestant has a chance to select whether he/she will phone one of his/her own friends as earlier, or ask someone from the audience to phone their friends (or, for example, their friends sitting behind). The studio lighting is more interesting now. Earlier just a couple of colors were being used, but from now on each question difficulty level is assigned with its own color - the first 5 questions will see the studio green or sky-blue, whilst questions 11-15 will "color" the studio to dark blue. There is no more "fastest finger first". Original text

Quick Analysis[/u]
New Intro: Quite Good
Overall purple graphics scheme: Also quite good, like the new question/answer colour scheme and entrance animations - money tree background is the purple plasma from the UK version, lifeline icons, 30 sec clock and ATA graphics are all purple based too.
New rules: Double Dip and 50:50 in the same game could be quite interesting. Letting them choose their own safe level is a brilliant idea. Execution was a bit clumsy (double dip start, abruptly cut by the 'normal' final answer cue) in my opinion, but since he got it right on his first guess I don't know how it would work after.
Like: Using real money instead of prop cheques.
Dislike: Still no background music for Q1-5. Very disorientating if you skip to it - looks like they've walked away and are now discussing it casually.
Additional Note: At 14:31, there is a 100% unanimous Audience poll for Q7. Nice!
Additional Note 2: A 0 winner right after a 800,000 (Q13) winner - shocking! Audience were wrong!
Additional Note 3: For the 0 winner, his final answer colour for the question he got wrong was a pale yellow/green, not orange. A subtle warning sign perhaps?

bl5965,
For some reason the host did not explain that using the 50-50 lifeline and Double dip gives the right answer. I think that any lifeline (or some lifelines on the only question) should help the contestant to answer correctly but but should NOT give the right answer.
The strangest thing for me is the questions. They are stupid and dull, since Channel 1 switched the the production company in 2008.
