Just ran across this information and think it's kind of neat. If anyone is in New York City, you should check this out!
Millionaire Times Square Game Official Rules
On September 13 and 14, 2010, listeners of radio stations WWFS (Fresh 102.7 New York City) and WISX (My 106.1 Philadelphia) will be given the opportunity to call in to the stations to attempt to answer a Millionaire-style multiple choice question. Listeners shall be chosen at the radio stations' discretion to answer questions on the air. Listeners who correctly answer the question on the air may have the opportunity to be a contestant in a live Millionaire-style game in Times Square, New York City on Wednesday, September 15, 2010 ("Times Square Game"). The Times Square Game contestants will be selected by WWFS, WISX, and Valleycrest Productions in their sole discretion and must meet the same eligibility requirements to which regular Millionaire contestants are subject (as detailed in the official rules of Millionaire), must meet the contest eligibility requirements of the radio station on which they answer the qualifying question, and must be fully available to participate in the Times Square Game on the morning of Wednesday, September 15, 2010, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Times Square Game contestants also shall have the opportunity to audition for the regular Millionaire program, subject to its official rules and eligibility requirements.
The Times Square Game shall consist of four contestants selected from the contests on WWFS and WISX. They will be given a series of Millionaire-style multiple choice questions to answer simultaneously. Upon being read the question, each contestant will be required to give their answer by selecting one of four cards with the letter choices A, B, C, and D on them, and revealing their answers upon request of the host. The game will be conducted for a predetermined period of time, and the contestant with the most correct answers at the conclusion of that time will win the first prize of ten thousand dollars ($10,000). The second prize of two thousand dollars ($2,000) and the third prize of one thousand dollars ($1,000) shall be award to the contestants with the second-most and third-most correct answers, respectively. The fourth place contestant shall win five hundred dollars ($500). In the event two or more contestants are tied for first place at the end of the time limit, the game will continue with additional tie break questions. Players will be eliminated upon giving incorrect answers, and the tie break game ends when all but one contestant - the first prize winner - have been eliminated. In the event players are tied for second or third place, they shall split the prize money allocated to the next respective places. VCP's decisions on all matters relating to the Program and/or game play (including but not limited to interpretations of these rules, phrasing of questions, correctness or incorrectness of answers, measurements of time limits and disqualification rulings) shall be final, binding, and not subject to challenge, review or appeal.
