Hey all,
After seeing the new US Millionaire, I have decided to come up with a potential 'ultimate' format of WWTBAM. It is really a mix of all current leading versions of the game (UK '10, US S7, and Shuffle) and hope you like it!
15 questions, split into 3 rounds
-Round 1: Q1-5, 15sec. on the clock (progressively difficult)
-Round 2: Q5-10, shuffled money and questions, 30sec. on the clock
-Round 3: Q10-15, not timed (progressively difficult)
Categories will be shown for all questions like the US Millionaire.
Lifelines:
-At start: 50:50, Ask the Audience, Phone a Friend
-After Q5 you also get: Ask the Expert
-After Q10 you also get: Double Dip
Money Tree:
£100
£200
£300
£500
£1000
-----Money shuffled from here-----
£2000
£4000
£8000
£16000
£32000
-----Money stops shuffling-----
£100000
£250000
£500000
£750000
£1 MILLION
With the shuffle round, the rules from S9 US apply: it's all in one bank, but the £1000 win does not get added to the bank. After the shuffle round, with Q10-15, money won replaces the previous amount won (unlike in shuffle, where it all adds up to £62000, that's why Q11 is for £100000 not £64000)
In terms of the music, I would prefer the US S7 score, but with the main theme modified to be lore like the original theme; US S7 music for Q1-10 clock beds and classic for Q11-15 beds. With the shuffle, we can use the new US S9 music for the shuffle money SFX, and answer correct cues for Q5-10, and when the money value is revealed, we could use the US S7 correct answer cues.
Hope this isn't too complicated, and that you like this idea!
Thanks,
