Another week of Millionaire is here, and this week we are wrapping up Celebrity Millionaire. Jean Smart and Peter Gallagher are the final two stars to make their appearance on the show. I will post the total amount of money given to the Alzheimer's Association when the celebrity shows have concluded.
Plus, when our regular contestants get back on, I'll be keeping track of those winnings as well. So, there will be two different prize money totals this week. For Alzheimer's check back on Monday. For the rest of the week, check back on Friday.

Celebrity Millionaire has come to an end, and the total money raised for the Alzheimer's Association is a whopping $191,650. Oddly, Jean Smart from Friday's show did not get the opportunity to finish her game. Instead, Peter Gallagher was brought in to play, and not only did he win $68,100, but he is also the first contestant to reach Round 2 (aka "Classic Millionaire") of the new format, which reminds me a lot of the "second dimension" of Super Millionaire. He did not answer any questions from the second round, but his total winnings weren't bad at all. Well, regular contestants get back into the game, and I'll have the total winnings for that on Friday.

I for one enjoyed his run. And I am very happy that so much was donated to charity!
Also I really liked the Classic Millionaire cues they added the much needed suspense in the cues. Also did anybody else notice the sharp snap added to the last two questions of Shuffle Millionaire?

Also did anybody else notice the sharp snap added to the last two questions of Shuffle Millionaire? Yea. Thought that was kinda.. unique.

I kind of like it though, and I really like the cues for the $100,000-$1,000,000. They all offer increasing suspense and that is something the cues really needed.

If any of you ever get the chance to see a taping of this season, they don't play those piano notes during the question. It's all the "heartbeats" and the rather snazzy snap on those final two questions of the first round.

Another week of Millionaire has concluded, and on Monday we concluded Celebrity Millionaire, the total money for which is posted above. So, we begin with Tuesday's show. The breakdown:
Tues. $1,000, $1,000 Wed. $30,500, $6,250 Thurs. $1,000, audience member: $1,000 Fri. $4,000
Well, to say the least, the celebs did a lot better than the contestants. This week's total is $44,750. Of course, that's still a respectable sum of money, but I would've liked to see more given away. An important note: the beginning of Friday's show was interrupted due to news alerts (as you probably know, severe weather has been affecting the East Coast all week). I might've missed a contestant, so if I did, please let me know. Until then, enjoy the weekend!

I'll check when I get home to watch it. I was hoping there would be a bit more money gien away too, but we'll just have to see next week.
That's very interesting, I wonder why they wouldn't play the original cue. Maybe just because they don't want to stir up any distractions?

I guess they don't play the piano beats in case they need to edit the question play for time. They never played Q1-5 music in past seasons I assume for that reason alone.
And did anyone else think the $100,000 and $250,000 question music in Gallagher's game was awful? But then again I originally thought the "new" UK music was awful when that debuted, so maybe this will grow on me.
