Yet another week of Millionaire has come. Last week saw some very big winners, total winnings adding up to $190,000. After that, I certainly have high expectations for this week. Hopefully we'll see some big wins.
And I'll have the total amount of money given away for the week on Friday, so check back here then, and enjoy this week's episodes of Millionaire!

I think last week showed how well this new format can actually do, I hope that we continue to have great players like last week!

Has anyone ever correctly answered the $100,000 question yet? Because someone just did it. The episode ended right after this, so we'll have to see next week if she walks away with it or not.
I'm worried because she keeps guessing on questions and getting lucky. She was just asked a question about what gas the Declaration of Independence is being preserved in, with the choices being Krypton, Neon, Radon, and Argon (argon was the correct answer). Her reasoning for answering Argon was that "Krypton isn't a real gas, it's from Superman" (even though Krypton is indeed real), "I've never heard of Neon" (even though Neon is a very common gas used in signs and other lighting purposes), "Radon is a harmful gas" (that is true, as Radon is radioactive). I thought it was funny that her incorrect reasoning led her to the correct answer though. I can picture the producers laughing in the control room.

Another exciting week of Millionaire has come to a close. This new format is definitely giving away a lot more money than before, mainly because the dollar amounts accumulate in Round 1. That's what I love about this new game. This week's total winnings aren't as large as last week's, but it's still a huge amount. The breakdown below:
Mon. $25,000 Tues. $1,000 Wed. $61,600, $29,750 Thurs. $1,000, $25,000, Audience member: $1,000 Fri. $0 (contestant has yet to finish her game)
The total is $144,350. As leimeisei pointed out, Friday's contestant answered the $100,000 question correctly, and indeed, this is the first contestant to answer a Round 2 question correctly with the new format. She has yet to finish her game on Monday. Next week, we'll be starting out on a real high note. Until then, enjoy the weekend!

I do agree with leimeisei, but I also had the idea that is was argon before the answers were shown, but her reasoning was weird.
