I just want to take a moment with a new thread to say good-bye to Wheel of Fortune's announcer, Charlie O'Donnell, who died at the age of 78 this past weekend. Along with WWTBAM, Wheel of Fortune was my other favorite game show growing up. Everyone can like Pat & Vanna, the wheel, and the puzzle-board, but you gotta love good ol' Charlie's voice. A sad, yet honorable farewell to the man that made Wheel of Fortune worth watching for over 28 years. R.I.P.

When I found out this, I was shocked. This is terrible. Charlie has been around on Wheel for so long, his voice truly will be missed. RIP Charlie

I was stunned when I heard the news. He's been such a mainstay in the American television landscape that it's hard to imagine life without his big, booming voice. Rest in peace, Charlie. You will be missed.

Wow, I didn't even here about this, RIP Charlie. Wheel of Fortune always had great announcers like Jack Clark and Mike Kelly.
