Hi Everyone! I've seen 2 seperate documentaries based on the Charles Ingram cheating scandal. For those who don't know. Charles Ingram, an former Major in the British Army got in the hot seat on September 9th, 2001 and returned on the 10th. Coming back on the second day, Ingram had only racked £4,000 using two lifelines. He, and his wife Diana, had an accomplice, Tecwen Whittock. Tecwen, who was playing in the fastest finger first, would cough in the studio when Ingram read the right answer. From that £8,000 question on, excluding the £16,000 and £32,000 questions, Tecwen knew the answer and did such that. Ingram won the £1,000,000 prize but was easily caught for cheating. He, his wife, and Tecwen were sentenced to I believe 18 months in prison, and quite obviously, did not earn their £1,000,000. From what I hear, Tecwen did win £1,000 on the show since he, himself, played truthfully immediately after Ingram "won." So I'd like to hear your opinions on the scandal itself, how they could've cheated better, or what you think about the lying thieves that tried to con their way to £1,000,000 on ITV1's Millionaire. Thanks for reading! Millionairefan28

Haha, yep They should've gone for £250,000 though. It would've attracted a lot less suspicion.

If you put it in your own thoughts, would you actually give someone a check for £1,000,000 if they cheated violently to get there?

They didn't give them any money. They with held the check and took them to court.
