Good grief what happened to my thread!
I've decided to let the lifeline pings be a selectable option. You can have them timed for you in sequence, or hit them yourself.
The settings screen is a mix of some almost unnecessarily specific customisations along with things you'd expect to be selectable intentionally left out. I'm (mostly) limiting the scope of the project to 'classic' gameplay, so no hand-picking lifelines and question values. But within the scope of classic Millionaire, I'm aiming to be as flexible as possible. The exception is 50:50, which I'm making random only. My old software (2001) had 50:50's pre-determined like the show did, but ABC changed that in 2002 and I tend to agree that random is more fair to the contestant.
The customisation that is present isn't aimed at changing the game, more at letting you run it on smaller or bigger scales.
ie.-
-Ask the audience will offer manually-entered results (hand polling), fake AI audience, or SMS polling.
-Phone a friend will let you auto-dial Skype, or let you handle it yourself and just run the clock.
-You can skip fastest finger, enter results manually, or do it over SMS.
-You can select only a subset of video outputs ie. live program graphics, host/hotseat screens, teleprompters.
-Lighting control can be turned on/off (as can music).
This way you can use only what you want of the whole pie. If anyone spots something I've overlooked I'm open to suggestions.
Preview video of the software will probably be late-January. Production of our show possibly August. After the show's done, the software will follow shortly.

The first was distributing the font illegally. The third rule you broke was saying GSK's real name on a public forum. Real classy. You apparently don't like to read others' posts. Well, perhaps you should start doing so. In fact, I recommend reading the site rules and other similar topics regarding fonts, because they would have saved you a load of trouble. There are things I simply cannot tolerate for legal reasons, and distributing fonts such as this one is one of those things. Furthermore, any leniency I would have taken with you was tossed aside when you decided to not only come back and start posting (PMing me would have been the wiser option if you were already going to evade my ban), but also to attack one of my members. Oh, and since you wanted a warning so badly, I raised your warning level to 100%.... and then banned you again. I applaud my fellow site members for handling this issue well and knowing the rules regarding font distribution, as well as for reporting this issue to me. |

Regisfan, you should ban his IP address from this forum. TC, you should know that Conduit ITC is a commercial font and that was a stupid move that you made to ask for it like that. The copyright is only into the television topic. If people are making millions on a show that isn't allowed by celedor and 2waytraffic, they will be taken down. As for the internet, they do care that but many people have it and the crew can't find the source of the music and pictures. There is no stop unless the internet is stopped but they don't have the power to do that. So, don't bother to try to ban this forum because this is a very strict fourm and to sounds are distuibuted unless it is fan made.

You should really be more careful about putting your email addresses up on a public forum. There are people here who know other people who can really make your life hell. I also find it ironic you're reporting us for copyright infringement, when, in fact, you were breaking the law by asking for a commercial font for free. I'm sure ProBoards would love to hear how you got caught, got banned, and are now circumventing that ban. |
