I'm pretty surprised it has not been posted yet. Maybe there are no German people here? Well, I would be the only one then. ;D On November 24th, Ralf Schnoor successfully answered the 1 Million € question and won the grand prize on the German version of the Show. His MDQ was as follows: What was the name of the first postage stamp, which was issued in the kingdom of Bavaria in 1849?A: One kreuzer blackB: Two kreuzer red C: Three kreuzer yellow D: Four kreuzer blue A special difficulty in this question was the fact that the stamps with the lowest values were the two kreuzer ones back then. He also pulled off the Carpenter at his MDQ, calling a friend to ask him if everything's alright back at his coffee shop and if a co-worker is still on duty. He then went on to confirm the answer he thought of in the first place, and it turned out to be the right one. To me, that guy was really amazing. He didn't use a lifeline until his 32.000€ question (which is the 11th question in Germany) and answered the ones up to that really quickly. Then, having used his Ask-the-Audience lifeline at the 125.000€ (13th) question, he went on to immediately answer the 500.000€ (14th) correctly, grinning already when the question was read (so before the answers were revealed). I can only congratulate him to his win. He's the first millionaire in Germany after 4 years.

Yes, congrats to him! We only discussed it in the shoutbox when it happened.
But I'm so (beeeeeeep) because I tuned in for every show for a while... and when I happen to be away from home, for ONE Friday, ONE show, this is the one with a Millionaire in it.

He really did quite an amazing job! What I found great was when the host (Günther Jauch) asked him why he didn't want the fourth lifeline. Apparently, he doesn't really like the risk format . His opinion is justified, though. Going home with 16,000 € is better than leaving with just 500 €. By the way, the very next show had somebody win nothing at all. His question was: Which of the following is worn on the feet? A: Tortillas B: Jalapeños C: Espadrilles D: Enchiladas The contestant chose D...
