In fact, due to the recent comments, I have a different alternative of using the lifelines. Try to see if you like it:
From the idea of generalcucumbre and gagamillionaire plus the US Shuffle Format, at the start of the game, contestant has three random lifelines from the start...
- Ask the Audience - Ask the Expert - Double Dip - Fifty-Fifty - Jump the Question - Phone a Friend - Switch the Question - Three Wise Men
...out of the 8 presented. For each milestone question correct, they have the option of either switching a lifeline with another hidden lifeline that has not been chosen yet, adding a new hidden lifeline, or recovering their used lifeline.
See if you like this idea guys. If you don't, tell me why.

See if you like this idea guys. If you don't, tell me why. I like it. Heres my idea: At the beginning of the game you have 3 lifelines. Ask the Audience Phone a friend (or skype or something if theres a problem with cheating over internet) 50:50 >At every milestone, they have an option of randomizing they're remaining lifelines. -Example: Let's say I've just won $1,000 & still have an ask the audience and 50:50 left. Before continuing, i may ask for a shuffle. If so, those two lifelines will be replaced for other lifelines, however the same lifeline might be present after the shuffle. So i might remain with a 50:50 and Phone a friend, after the shuffle. >Once shuffled, it cannot be reverted. >You my shuffle on the million dollar question if you have any lifelines remaining. >This way, a contestant may use any lifeline more than once, if it appears again. >Not shuffling lifelines will just continue the game play. >If you have no lifelines remaining, you may not shuffle (obviously) >If a player has both 50:50 and Double Dip, they my switch it, on any question, for a jump the question. >I call it: MILLIONAIRE: SHUFFLELINES

I really like your idea, admiralyoshi! Especially the possibility to get a lifeline back! Your idea gives the game some randomness without making it confusing. One thing, though: it might be better to have only one opportunity to switch/recover/add, because 5 lifelines is too much in my opinion. Some might argue that Super Millionaire had 5 lifelines too but the SM questions were a lot harder than ordinary millionaire questions. I'm starting to annoy even myself for always finding some problem , but your idea is really really great and your enthusiasm to listen to our improvement suggestions and to follow our advice is awesome! Hats off to you! Btw, everyone seems to be having to implement some shuffle idea in the game. This is okay if it's not too much. I'm sorry, Chandra, but your 'shufflelines' idea is a bit crude I just think that lifelines aren't everything. While Admiralyoshi has really thought about an entirely new version, yours, chandra, is just a variant on the lifelines. Think about how you could make a new version of millionaire out of your idea and start a new thread. I'd love to help you make something out of it (except if you hate me now because of my comment your idea, sry).

I believe the Ask the Audience is a must. One thought that's been going through my mind of late was having 2 jump the questions, but you can only use one in Round 1 and saving the second for Round 2, providing you'd get there. Filling in for two more lifelines for both Round 1 and 2 should be, in my opinion, Double Dip, and either 50-50 or Ask the Expert. I don't believe there's a need to have a Switch the Question lifeline in the game which you can also jump it, it's kinda redundant because it would work similar to a jump lifeline. Well at least it would work half way.

I don't know, but too me it seams like it could be an implementation of Shuffle Millionaire with lifelines shuffling too. I'll start a new thread to make it more easier.
