I have 2 questions to ask the mods here about the procedure for gaining access Fan Games. 1) Does I have to stay active every single day in the period of 30 days? My situation is this: I'm studying harder from now on, so I can only be online at Saturday, (maybe) Sunday and (maybe) Wednesday. 2) Do you count posts like questioning comments and questions on making materials for PPTs, etc.?

1. No, not really. Just don't make 30 posts in one day and then leave for the other 29 2. Posts are counted if they are "constructive", the definition of which is at voting members' discretion.

Wow! Now as a fan, I have to make 30 constructive posts, not 20, to gain access to the protected section of the forum. Could you point one of my posts which is constructive and if I didn't make any constructive one, could you give some examples from the other threads in the forum?

An example of a post that isn't constructive would be just posting "I agree" or some other useless comment in a thread just to build your post count. It's usually fairly obvious when people are just building their post counts. Bumping older threads and repeatedly making posts that do nothing to advance the conversation are two trademarks of a member who is not posting constructively. As long as you actually contribute to the discussions here, no one will think of you as someone who isn't posting constructively.
Also, posts in the Auditions forum don't count toward your post count. That's the only board on the site in which that is the case.

Ok, now I'm confused. The official procedure for gaining access to the fan games section says that a member has to have posted at least 20 constructive posts. Now in other threads people have mentioned that you need 30 or even 35. What is the right amount now? I mean, it's not like it's that important to me but i just want some clarity

Sorry to get into this, I'm no administrator or even Fan Games member, but I believe it is a 30 minimum of constructive posts. A verification of that number would be better though. Of course, you'd be surprised how quick that count post can grow after a few weeks anyway.

Yeah, I always thought it was 30 for some reason. Either way, aim for 30 as the magic number. If you audition with 20 posts, people are probably going to give you "No" votes. 30+ constructive posts looks good and it demonstrates that you're here to contribute and be a part of the community, not just to gain access to the fan games forum and run off with members' games. Also, please keep in mind: it's better to play it safe and be overqualified, rather than taking the chance of applying while underqualified. If you fail your first audition, it's greatly lessens the chances of any future audition of yours passing. Just some friendly tips

Absolutely right, leimeisei. Take it from me, I auditioned 3 times, once I first joined, after 20 posts, and I believe after 60 posts... anyway it was not a good choice

From the official procedure thread:
But I do agree with the others- being overqualified always helps.
