This is a format I've concocted based on the US Season 9 Shuffle Format.
I call it Millionaire Shufflelines (but that could easily be changed)
The game is played in 3 rounds (similar to classic millionaire)
The original money tree is used during this variation.
$100
$200
$300 ROUND 1 (15 seconds each question)
$500
$1,000 (milestone)
----------
$2,000
$4,000
$8,000 ROUND 2 (30 seconds each question)
$16,000
$32,000 (milestone)
----------
$100,000
$250,000 ROUND 3 (Banked Time/2)
$500,000
$1,000,000
SHUFFLING
The money & the categories will get shuffled for the first 10 questions (rounds 1 & 2). The money in rounds 1 & two is accumulated money which adds to $56,100 dollars. At round 3, the money does not accumulate any more.
ROUND 1 & 2 CLOCK
In round 1, you have 15 seconds to answer each question, in round 2 you have 30. Questions from round 2 may be shuffled to round one during the shuffle, but this still means you have 15 seconds to answer it. Questions from round 1 may be shuffled to round 2, providing you more time for easier questions.
PROCEEDING TO ROUND 3
In order to proceed to round 3 you must have banked at least 5 minutes of banked time. There is a total of 8.75 minutes of time available to bank.
ROUND 3
Round 3 has no specific clock time but heres how you can earn some. In order to make it hear you need at least 5 minutes of banked time. The banked time that the player has accumulated is split in half and thats the thinking time the player has for all 5 questions together.
ROUND 3 CLOCK
Round 3 has no specific clock time but heres how you can earn some. In order to make it hear you need at least 5 minutes of banked time. The banked time that the player has accumulated is split in half and thats the thinking time the player has for all 5 questions together.
Ex. Lets say i have earned $56,100 & banked 6 minutes 30 seconds of time. For the $100,000 question i have 3 minutes and 15 seconds to think. Lets say i got the question right after 30 seconds, I know have 2 minutes 45 seconds to think about the next question, etc. If i run out of time before reaching the million dollar question, it is considered a wrong answer, unless the contestant states that they walk away before the clock runs out (this goes for any question, including million dollar question). If you correctly answer the million dollar question with more than a minute left; we double your winnings and you go home with two million dollars.
LIFELINES
The player will start out with 3 lifelines. Ask the Audience, Jump the Question, & Double Dip. At every milestone, the player has the option to add a new lifeline to the game (which is randomly chosen). Doing this will disable the contestants privilege to walk away until the next milestone. The contestant may also shuffle any of their remaining lifelines, in hopes of more useful ones
(shuffling lifelines does not disable walking away, the only punishment is risking your valuable and more important lifelines).
*When shuffling lifelines, any lifeline can become the outcome, even the ones you originally shuffled.
What do you think of this format? Any ideas? Any improvements? Give me some advice. (:
