Ok, I am starting to freak out. For the past few days I haven't been able to find my USB flash drive at all. The reason I'm having a tough time? This contains ALL of my WWTBAM work that I have worked on for 2+ years, other game shows (including Jeopardy! and Family Feud), and some classwork that I had to take on the go. I've been digging through my room, desk, dresser, everything in between - no luck yet. The work that is on my USB has lights, cues, and graphics that present an almost-exact replica of the actual show during the clock format. It makes me shake my head for losing something that I've worked on for so long. For now, I still have graphics, clock SFX, and shuffle SFX from my fellow friends here at the forum on my computer. I DESPERATELY NEED suggestions for a WWTBAM presentation that does not consume much time (I have less than 4 months) and still has distinguishing features. Any...I repeat, ANY, tips are helpful. SERIOUSLY, I could use some help now. Thanks. DJ Note to self: After finding it, don't lose it AGAIN.

Try looking in the absolute last place you'd ever expect to find it. That's how I found my Gran Turismo 5 game a couple days ago

Good luck with that.. I don't want to sound naggy, but if you keep everything on a USB, it's a good idea to back up to somewhere a bit more permanent.
Sorry for your loss - I know what it feels like to lose stuff you've worked on for ages.. and from what I know, so do quite a few other developers.

When/where was the last place you had it? - Obviously, look there, but then re-trace your steps - as best you can -from the last time you had it up until the point you realized it was missing. Could it have been left at school in your locker or your desk? Maybe check lost & found. Ask some of the other people in your house if they've seen it or have done anything with it. Good luck with finding that darn flash drive!

One thing I've noticed is that checking behind your desk, whether it be at home, or at your college dorm, or whatever, may be exactly where to look. You'd be surprised what falls behind there. Oh and another thing that might just work out for the future is partitioning your hard drive. On a PC running Windows, you can download and mount onto a CD, a program called Parted Magic LiveCD, it is an open source linux distro operating system so it's free. Here's a link to download it. download.cnet.com/Parted-Magic-LiveCD/3000-2094_4-10663999.htmlMore Info: partedmagic.com/doku.phpInstall another version of Windows on the other partition, but instead of running it often and using programs, keep that partition of your hard drive for storage, so in case you have a crash in your operating system, you only need to format the crashed partition on the hard drive and not the partition you use for storage. If you'd like I can record a tutorial for you on how use Parted Magic and I'll put it on my YouTube channel if you need me to. Hopefully you'll find your files, Good Luck!

Do you keep it in your pocket? If so, couches, couches, couches. They LOVE to eat up USB drives.
