Although it's sad to see Meredith go, I'm excited to see who they bring in next year. I can't possibly see Regis doing it, so it's a mystery to me. Either way, it's a critical choice; we'll have to see how the next season plays out with a new face.

Glad to here he's thinking about it... and it would be unusual if Millionaire wouldn't put Regis above most if Regis would be willing to do so. I mean ratings killed when Regis hosted in primetime, but the game was big then as well. This version, also in syndication, and potentially lacked its luster, won't be a 20 million a night show, but it good boost that rating up at least a couple tenths. I talk to non-Millionaire regulars and they always said "I liked it with Regis better than 'that lady'" But then again, they couldn't have given syndicated Millionaire a chance if they don't know who "that lady" is. |

Even if he won't be the permanent host, they should have him do a few episodes until they find a new host.

It's good to see the show is on Regis' radar. It's a long shot for sure, but I would be completely ecstatic if he did return as host.
If I were a producer at Millionaire, I'd see this is a grand opportunity to let Regis do for Millionaire what Steve Harvey did for Family Feud. Regis' return would generate buzz for the show before a single episode was even recorded.

Regis always was Millionaire and since they're not even on the clock format anymore, I think he'll be able to adapt a little bit better with his awesome wisecracks and jokes. And this is Regis who wants to come back, which means he may even approach the producers himself. Regisfan, do you have any way you can contact him at all? We need to give him that push to do this. I myself think Millionaire would be saved if he returned. |

No, I don't have a way to contact Regis directly. I think the best way to get his attention or the producers' attention would be to start a petition. If it gathered enough signatures, perhaps it would get exposure on Buzzerblog and attract somebody's attention in an official capacity. Kind of like how Betty White landed the SNL hosting gig a while ago.

WOAH! I leave for a week and this happens!
Regis is back on board??! Wow.. its kind of sad to see Meredith go now.. I mean, first Today Show, now Millionaire, I wonder where I'll be able to see her next... but at the same time, getting Regis back on would be wonderful! Lets see what happens!

A petition is good! We'd certainly have to spread the word and get the word spread to make the petition worth looking at too.... having only a couple hundred signatures probably won't do it.

For a petition to get the attention of the necessary people, it would need a decent amount of signatures. Even a few hundred signatures would show Disney that there is significant interest in seeing Regis return. We have lots of regulars here, but I'm not sure it would be enough to do the job. We'd need to see how many people would be willing to sign.
