This will be the thread for my Deal or No Deal RPG. Before the game can start I am still waiting for a few things, so this post will be used to explain the rules and format of the game. Basic Rules
I'm assuming that everyone knows how Deal or No Deal itself works, so I won't explain every rule but just the specifics for this RPG. The main game will have 26 Boxes containing amounts from 1p to £500,000. The round structure will be 5, 5, 4, 4, 3, 3. After the main game is complete, the contestant will have the chance to open Box 27 if they want, as it could make them win more money, or less money, or no money at all. With Box 27, the top prize becomes £1,000,000. The BoardThe board for this game will be as follows: (In game, the amounts on the left will be blue, and the amounts on the right will be red. Amounts in bold are new amounts, not seen on the UK Deal board.) 1p | £1,000 | 10p | £3,000 | 50p | £5,000 | £1 | £10,000 | £2 | £15,000 | £5 | £20,000 | £10 | £25,000 | £20 | £35,000 | £50 | £50,000 | £100 | £75,000 | £250 | £100,000 | £500 | £250,000 | £750 | £500,000 |
RPG-specific rulesAll people involved in the RPG, including contestants, the Banker, and myself, MUST post all responses within 48 hours of the last post in the thread. Unless I receive (or give) prior notice, any breach of this role may result in expulsion and replacement in the game, although this will usually be the case the second time the incident occurs. Whilst a contestant is deliberating whether or not the take the Deal from the Banker, they may ask for a poll of other members to be set up to see what they would do. This would last for 24 hours, and the 48 hour posting rule would apply from the time the poll locks. During the 'deliberation' period, any other member not directly involved in the game may post advice for the contestant, but any conversations between members and contestants is encouraged to take place elsewhere from this thread, to avoid clustering this thread. A contestant does not have to give all of their box picks for the round in one post, although I encourage it to save time. Offers such as 'Banker's Gamble' are available for the Banker to use, so offers do not have to be solely monetary. Joke offers are also allowed if relevant to the game, as long as they include a monetary value as well. RolesHost: Myself Contestant: exambolorBanker: None yet, please apply via PM, as your identity as Banker is supposed to stay secret.
If there's anything I haven't explained, feel free to ask. If you would like to sign up as a contestant in a subsequent game, please do so by either PM or in this thread. The Banker must sign up via PM. This game will hopefully start soon, but I'll post when it's ready to begin. Good luck to anybody playing!

The Banker role has been filled, the game is now ready to begin. Also, please note the round structure has been changed to reflect the US version of the show. (6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 2, 1, 1)
*Set is dark, pre-opening music plays* One million pounds. 27 identically sealed boxes, and no questions. Except one: Deal or No Deal? *Audience cheers as the opening titles play* *Opening titles finish, I walk onto set, set becomes brighter, audience finish cheering.* Hello and welcome to Deal or No Deal, the show where it's not trivia, or physical challenges get you £1,000,000, but just sheer luck. Of all of our 26 boxes sat on the East and West wing, they all contain various amounts of money, ranging from just a penny, to half a million pounds. Will today's contestant be able to win that, and then possibly double it using Box 27? Let's find out, please welcome exambolor ! *Contestant entry music plays, audience applauds* Welcome to the show, exambolor . Now, please tell us a bit more about yourself, and select one of our 26 boxes to be your own for your game.

Well, it's an absolute pleasure to have you on the show today. So you've picked Box 14. Like the rest of our boxes, box 14 was filled at random before the game began using the online randomiser service, random.org. I am the only person who knows where the money is, but I will not help in telling you what's where. The Banker doesn't know what is in your box, or any other box. As we eliminate other boxes, we'll start to get a better idea of what you might have. exambolor . I wish you the very best of luck. Let's play Deal or No Deal! *Game start plays, audience applauds* Right, in this first round we need 6 boxes. Let's try and keep them blue if we can. Where are you going first? *Round Ambiance plays, swoosh plays, money amounts appear on the board.* All graphics used in this RPG were made by BeachBoy99 , and are intellectual property of Endemol UK. *Camera zooms in on Box 12.* Let's start things off as we mean to go on, please. Box opener: Good luck! *They break the seal on the box and open it. Drum Bang plays and camera zooms in as the amount inside is revealed.* *Audience cheer* That's a good start. *Swoosh sound plays* We need 5 more before the first offer. Which box(es) do you want to open next? All graphics used in this RPG were made by BeachBoy99 , and are intellectual property of Endemol UK. No copyright infringement is intended.

Okay, Box 11. We've started well, let's carry on please. *Box seal is broken, box opens, drum sound plays* *Some of the audience gasp* That isn't great, but it could certainly be worse. *Swoosh sound plays, £35,000 disappears from the board, audience cheer encouragement.* Now that was just a blip, we're gonna start seeing blue again. Box number 5 was your next choice, open it please. Box Opener: I hope it's a blue for you! *Seal is broken, box is opened, drum bang plays* *Most of the audience applaud* That's fine at the moment, we can certainly make do with a grand gone. *Swoosh sound plays, audience still applauding.* Come on now, we really want to see a dent in that left hand side, will Box 8 do it for us? *Seal is broken, box is opened, drum bang plays* *Audience cheer loudly* That is what we wanted to see! *Swoosh sound plays, 50p disappears from the board.* Two more to go. Where next? exambolor : I'll have Box 13 please. Okay, 13, unlucky for some, hopefully not for you. Open it, please. *Seal is broken, box is opened, drum bang plays* *The audience remain largely silent.* Again, could be worse, but we'd much rather it be up there, really. *Points to board* *Swoosh sound plays* I'd say that board is saying that so far, this round has gone equally well for both us and the Banker. We may have taken out more reds, but our Power Five is still fully intact, whereas his has a gaping hole in the middle. If this next box is blue, or less than 15 grand I'd say we'd be in a better position, come on, make it happen. Box 15, please. Box Opener: Good luck! *Seal is broken, box is opened, drum bang plays* *Audience cry out things like 'oh no!', and 'aww...'* Oh dear. *Swoosh sound plays* That is a shame. We weren't looking bad at all before that last box. However, there's still a lot of life changing money up there, including the hundred thousand and the half million. There is that big block of blues, but hopefully we can sort that out in the next round. It's offer time, but you have a massive chance to turn this game around now. If you can correctly predict the Banker's offer to within 10% of the actual amount, you'll earn the offer button. *Camera zooms in on the button, audience ooh* So, take some time to think about that, exambolor, and please PM me your prediction. Anyway. How do you feel about that round?

That round was ok. Losing the £250,000 right at the end didn't help though, but we still have some big money there

If that last box was a blue I think we could well have seen a quite high offer, but let's see what we get. Now you've given us your prediction for the Banker's first offer in this envelope I have in my hand. After the Banker give us his offer, we'll find out if your prediction was within 10%. If it is, you'll earn the Offer Button. *Phone Rings, set turns red, Banker's Call music plays* *After 2 rings, I pick up the phone* Hello Banker. I think everybody is in agreement there. Thank you Banker. *I put the phone down, pre offer music plays* He says that it was a good opening round before the quarter million went, but as it wasn't a particularly bad round apart from that, your opening offer is nine and a half thousand pounds. *Audience applauds, offer reveal plays* Now. Before I ask you the question, we need to find out if you get the Offer Button or not. To get it, you have to have predicted somewhere within the range of £8,550-£10,450. Let's see what your prediction was: Prediction: £16,000No, the isn't in the right range, so we're going to have a buttonless game. *Audience aww.*
However, nine and a half is still a lot of money. Looking at the board, you've got 7 boxes left that are worth more than that, and in the next round you'll have to open 5.
*Decision music plays*
exambolor. £9,500. Deal or No Deal?

Okay, let's try and steer clear of the big money in this round. Box 16, please. *Seal is broken, box is opened, drum sound plays* *Audience cheer* Good start. *Swoosh sound plays, £50 disappears from board.* 4 more to go. Number 18 is next: Box Opener: I really hope it's a blue for you, exambolor ! *Seal is broken, box is opened, drum bang plays* *Audience cheer loudly* Two good boxes to start, that's evened the board up now. *Swoosh sound plays* Now there's an equal number of reds and blues, we could be on for an all-blue round here. Let's hope Box 21 also has a blue: *Seal is broken, box is opened, drum bang plays* *Audience cheer* That's absolutely fine, we can take a low red here. *Swoosh sound plays, £3,000 disappears from board* Don't worry about that, that was good. Two blues here would be even better though, Box 22 please. *Seal is broken, box is opened, drum bang plays* *Audience cheer loudly again* That's another great blue to see gone from the game! *Swoosh sound plays* *The audience shout words of encouragement to exambolor .* They're certainly enjoying this round. Come on, finish with a blue. The penny here would really hit the Banker where it hurts. Box 24, please, please don't have anymore than five grand in you. *Seal is broken, box is opened, drum bang plays* *Audience aww, but then applaud* Certainly has not ruined the round, the big money is all still there, that's what's important. *Swoosh sound plays* That board looks a lot healthier than it did last round. We've done a lot of damage to the left hand side of the board, whilst keeping our remaining Power 4 intact. The £25,000 wasn't great, as it did open a gap between the big money and the back-ups, but the £20,000 is still there. How are you feeling now?
