I'm afraid Deified is incorrect. The correct answer is Smart. You've correctly identified that "semordnilap" is just "palindromes" spelled backwards, but that does offer a clue to the real nature of a semordnilap; namely, that it's a word that spells out a different word backwards. In the case of "Smart", that would be "Trams", the plural of "Tram". While Deified also spells a word backwards, it's the same word - Deified - so it does not qualify as a semordnilap.
