Oh yes, silly me. Two Phone-a-Friends would be just like the two Jump the Question lifelines in US syndication: you could theoretically also basically get double the time you'd normally get in phone a friend. Switch the Question was unpopular, and it would be too reminiscent of the 2007-14 debacle (even though it was actually first used in 2002, I get that). Also, Ask the Nation would result in an extra-long ad break like it did in 2003, and who wants that?!? Maybe Britain will use Plus One like Vietnam have done due to corona. Thinking about it, that doesn't seem a bad route to go down. |

I don't think Double Dip would really work for the UK version: the fact that 50:50 and Double Dip can be used together to guarantee a correct answer betrays the whole point of Millionaire. They can forbid the use of Double-Dip after 50:50 on the same question, just like the fact that you can't walkaway when D-D is activated. Idolsfan  |

I'm just gonna mention how in the Austrian version, contestants used both 50:50 and DD to get a "free pass" on a question. That's why I don't like that lifeline in the first place. The idea of two PAF's is just silly as well. I would like it if they added Three Wise Men or if they brought Switch back. |

Yeah I agree, if both are included in a game at all, it's far better to make the contestant work to keep both to use on a question

I do like how they tried to fill up the "Dead area" ngl. Two paf's im quite indifferent about. on the one hand it seems very lazy IMO instead of something like switch (Which abilitys to help are debatable I suppose) or maybe an ATE by contacting X winners or successful contestants. Regardless I'm quite happy how Clarkson's been doing and am looking forward back to seeing this back on TV! Or rather a streaming service/ITV hub with a VPN  Photo from JaydenR |

I agree. It’s just lazy they had to use two of a particular lifeline. Why not Double Dip (if you use it on a question, you can’t use 50-50 or vice versa) or Switch?
