I like the idea of the video panels, something that the US should've had but alright.
Comparing other international "COVID episodes", I think this was one of the weirdest choices they could've made for the lifelines.
+ The fact that it's quite lazy. But we'll see how it goes.

I hate when people do that for views.. Ruins the entire drama, granted they didn't give the ep but still.. I'm excited to see the winner but its just, You'll sit there and someone will be at a 500,000 pound question and you'll go "They know this" or maybe even 250,000 and it just feels sad to me at that point. Anyway curious what other silly stuff will happen with clarkson hosting, also wonder how clarkson will react.

Absolutely agree. I got the news on my Google homepage and was rather... miffed at finding out. I mean, a better strategy, I think, would be to reveal that someone's (not who, specifically) got the £500,000 question right. That would allow us, the viewer, to know that someone will be having a go at the million without revealing what's happened. I mean, I get that 90% of the time, folks who make it that far walk away, but still. I think the fact that someone's even made it that far is exciting and worthy of a tuning-in. You know, it's like "Maybe they've won it. Maybe they've lost hundreds of thousands of pounds. I should go check." |

I disagree to an extent with the above posts, because all we know is there will be a winner. We don’t have a name. What’s to say there won’t be multiple £250,000/£500,000 questions? What if someone gets off to a hot start and we think to ourselves, ‘This is them,’ then it turns out it isn’t.
During celebrity Millionaire, when someone got to the $500,000 in the spring, I thought we were seeing the $1,000,000 question as teased in the preview. The celebrity walked with $250,000 and Lauren Lapkus was the one who got the first question.
As far as I know, we don’t know this person’s appearance or identity yet. It might not even be somebody shown in the preview. We know it will happen, but we won’t know who it will be until it happens. |

I have a prediction (not a spoiler - no insider info).
I believe tonight's roll-over contestant Calum Hind may be this series' million pound winner.
A quick google search shows that he participated in the 2017 Quizzing World Championships, where he placed 314th. This may not appear particularly impressive at first glance, but that is a seriously tough level of quizzing. For some illuminating context, in 327th place was a certain Mr David Edwards, a familiar name for all true UK millionaire fans.
Ladies and gentlemen, we have a seriously good contestant in the hotseat. I think he's the one who'll go all the way.
