Hi, everybody! My name is Michał, I come from Poland and I would like to join the FanGaming Center. I registered on the forum over a year ago but my activity started in September. My interest in WWTBAM has already been there before but in fact it started with the return of the Polish edition in 2017. I was very excited, I watched every episode, and finally I found out that he wanted to do something of his own. It started with the idea of WWTBAM in School which was excellent. Then I had even more energy to act. I found out that I would make my own program, but I didn't know how or where. I noticed other developers (BL5965) who made remote-controlled keyboard games and these games were really cool. I wanted to create something similar to his. I was looking for many months how to make such games and finally I created the software for the school quiz show. I started to make even better games with my own graphics (although sometimes I used other graphics). I did Host Screen and many other programs related to WWTBAM. Apart from that, together with my friend DoreK I made WWTBAM 2009 USA studio and recorded episodes there (the program hasn't been released yet). Recently I was interested in doing WWTBAM USA 2009 studio in PowerPoint and it worked out okay, I would have to improve a few more things. If I could get into the FanGaming Center, I would certainly make even better and more efficient software. Thank you for reading my audition. I mean he has 78 posts, much better as per my opinion but I've gone through other members auditions as well, most of them have 100+ posts, but I believe even he will have 100+ posts soon Nothing much, thanks |

I looked into your posts very carefully, and I'm going to say no, because: - Most of your posts are in the creativity section when you either post your work or make an opinion about other people's work. - Your projects are mostly based on graphics of the others, for example: Your host screen contained Pyciek's and PrzemoRKO's graphic. The only thing you did was to create the texts which is not that difficult. I think, you should do something, which is your very own work. I don't think that you should post Minecraft WWTBAM here, because it's not your work. It is DoreK's work, who made this studio. You can see it on his page when he presents his studios. craftcolor.tk/realizacje/You only stand there and talk. The trailer was released at the beginning of 2019 and there are still no episodes, and as far as I know, there are no recorded episodes, so I can't consider it your work. I LOVE your School Millionaire and Host Screen used in it but I think that you should stay here for some time and show more of your work. Because now the only thing that you've shown is UK Host Screen that contains graphics from other users and USA Studio quickly drawn in PowerPoint. Don't take it too personal, please. |

Not exactly - we're both working on the project. I only took care of the set design, however KDydko is the creator and originator of the program. I think your vote is wrong because KDydko puts a lot of work into what he does. KDydko is also an active user in this forum, and his work additionally has a positive impact on this audition.

Yes, you're the creator of the studio, but kdydko is the creator of the program. The problem is - the program doesn't exist yet, I mean there are no episodes recorded, and he showed your studio and said - I created this. And that's a LIE! You're the creator and we both know it. Even if he worked with you and said how the studio must look like, that doesn't change that you're a creator of the studio.
You say that he puts a lot of work into what he does. I understand that he could put a lot of work into the school millionaire. But excuse me, when he takes all the graphics form other and than makes a UK Host Screen by adding few texts in the boxes and question graphics - it's not fully his job and we can't say that he put a lot of work into the work. Look at the JustMarcha's creations. I think that this should be the work we have to do to get into Fan Games Sharing Center. Look, he has 78 posts and most of them are in the Creativity! He could post something in the "International Millionaire Discussion" or somewhere else...

I'm sorry but the validity of your no seems spiteful at best as this was a successful thread and now someone with a no vote comes in and just throws it all out. Why my vote is not valid ? I wrote all the important arguments. It doesn't matter how many days after the audition was posted I came with a "no" vote. I still keep my vote and say NO. I think that people who want to join Fan Games Sharing Center have to make more to get there, to those important files.
edit: I remembered almost the same situation that happened few years ago. Szymek48 wrote an audition and somebody stopped him with a NO vote [there were many yes votes]. Why do you say that my vote doesn't count ? I just gave an opinion. I have the right to share my opinion here, don't I ?

It's okay. I don't have anything to hide. I just wrote an opinion, and I think I have the right to say my opinions. I just write what I think. Please think about the arguments I wrote and do what you want to do with them.

Well, as a Fan Games Member myself, who’s judged many an audition at this stage, let me just say I completely disagree with some of the arguments in this thread. Regardless of whether or not you created every single tiny detail yourself, creating a Millionaire program is certainly no mean feat, and in my opinion does prove worthiness for Fan Games Membership. You’re an active member of the boards, and even if the majority of your posts are in the Creativity section, you’ve contributed to them well and so I have absolutely no worries whatsoever of giving you a Yes vote.
I think that, for the record, perhaps we should take into account in future not only the votes people give auditions, but also that voters status. For example, should non-Fan Games members have the same power to ‘No’ an audition than a member? Obviously there would be scenarios where perhaps a non member would be better placed to No an audition for a good reason, but in this case, when it just seems to be poking holes for the sake of poking holes, I personally think there should be some clarifications of the rules on voting.

The point of the “no” vote is so that any member can alert the community to someone whose conduct is misleading or deceptive. In this case, I’m not sure that I see anything that would make me question Dziben’s character. From what I’ve seen, he has been fully transparent when borrowing the work of other creators. If anyone can prove that work has been stolen without due credit being given, then the “no” vote can stand. If not, we have to judge each audition based on the official qualifications. After all, we do permit non-creators to audition and always have. patryk47235, you absolutely have the right to raise your concerns and illustrated your point well. Take a look at the official auditioning rules and let us know exactly where Dziben has overstepped. The burden of proof is on you, and that’s not a bad thing. Please elaborate. |
