*host enters the studio and does a little wave to the audience chanting "Bossing!" multiple times*Good evening, everyone. Welcome to the 96th RPG of the biggest game show in the world, Who Wants to be A Millionaire. Yes, we're only four shows away from breaking the milestone 100th. We don't know what would happen, but you will see some surprises in the foreseeable future. Actually, we are in the very first episode of Philippine Millionaire for the new decade and things started out pretty well until we are facing one of the darkest chapters in world history, which is of course, I'm talking about the coronavirus pandemic.
Well, one of the victims of the said pandemic is Christopher de Leon, the original host of WWTBAM on IBC 13 in the early 2000s who said that this game show brought us back to the heydays of game shows on primetime television. So, to everyone at Millionaire Fans RPG, we wish him very well. Anyway, last time, millionairefan hosted the most recent RPG from New York, playing Chris Harrison's version before going classic with Jimmy Kimmel, with millionairefan64 and Orange both walking away with $5,000. Tonight, we are going back to the Philippines where these two contestants hopefully walking away with P2,000,000. So, I think it's a perfect time to meet the two contestants vying for that, let's meet them! *meet the contestants play, audience applaud*greenorcs and davidmorse! *meet contestants end, set turns to a dark pink hue*Contestants, welcome. Now, to decide who goes first, we'll play a little game called Fastest Finger First. It's very simple: put the choices into order and buzz in as quickly as possible. The one who got it right OR the one who did in the fastest possible time gets to sit in the most famous chair in television. And audience, no interference and no shouting out answers because once the incident happens, that question will be deemed invalid, so it's for the contestants ALONE. Alright, players. Well, you come to the right place because college students nowadays have to pay off student debt for four years. Speaking of college students, the Jeopardy! College Championship is underway and next week will decide who will win $100,000 and a spot in the Tournament of Champions which would be held in the next season. But for now, I wish you the very best of luck. Before we do that, let's explain the rules of the game for you... *money tree appears, explain the rules cue plays from this point* This is serious business, davidmorse, because you are 15 multiple-choice questions away from P2,000,000. Every time you get it right, the money tree starts to go up but make one mistake and you leave with nothing, unless you reach the thresholds of P20,000 and P150,000 where if you get those right, you cannot leave with less than that. As always, you have 3 lifelines to start off with. You've got the 50:50 *ping1 plays*, the Phone-A-Friend *ping2 plays*, and the Ask the Audience *ping3 plays*, but if you reach the P150,000 safe haven, a fourth lifeline will come in handy and that is Switch the Question *ping4 plays*. Now, the rules out of the way and you probably know them by now, are you ready to go? |
