It's a very shocking news. He was an amazing host, one of the best Milionaire hosts ever without a doubt. May he Rest In Peace.

Rest In Peace, Regis.
There will never be another entertainer quite like him. He was the best at his craft. Between Live! and Millionaire, he has been such a mainstay in my household that I consider him to be a part of my family. No one has made me smile more than Reege or provided as good of a template for being warm, professional, and witty toward others. I’m glad that I got to meet him twice and express my admiration.
My condolences to the Philbin family. Thank you for sharing Regis with the world for so many years.

R.I.P. He will be greatly missed, especially in this community. Still one of my favorite game show hosts of all time, and no doubt a key piece of my childhood growing up watching Millionaire on TV.

I heard this just now and I knew I had to come here. RIP to one of the most unique personalities in all of American television history. Thank you for all the years of entertainment and inspiration you've given me and all the members of our little site here. Thanks, Regis.

I had that dark feeling he didn't have that much longer to go to be honest. He seemed like he was getting pretty weak when he did those trailers with Jimmy Kimmel. If 2020 didn't suck enough as it does now, this is just another reason for it to suck even more. Rest in Peace, Reege. We will miss you but you will never be forgotten. Don't be sad because his life is over, rejoice because we had the privilege of knowing him.

Really sad news... He was the man it all started with 21 years ago in the USA... The rebroadcast of the "Celebrity Jeopardy!" featuring him as a constestant, Monday, will be a great tribute.

I was only four years old when Millionaire debuted in the US and thanks to Regis, I was absolutely hooked every weeknight. His charisma, his banter, his suspense, the man had it all. I loved watching him host the show, I loved playing the PC games that featured him as the host, and I love going back and watching classic shows with him opposite of the hot seat. His death will sting for quite some time while Millionaire sees a resurgence around the world.
Regis has used all his lifelines and has decided to walk away to the pearly gates.
Godspeed, Reege.

It’s so fitting that the final television moment that we shared with Regis was of him handing the “Millionaire” baton to Jimmy Kimmel. What a beautiful ending to his incredible broadcasting legacy.

This is hard to take.
I have long said he was the best host Millionaire ever had, in any version and any country, and I truly believe that was the case. I met him almost nine years ago. He was very kind, warm and accommodating. There never will be another like him.
On top of that, I’m not sure we’re on this forum talking about him and celebrating his legacy without him, because he helped to Millionaire to its heights and was there when it captured magic and glory.
R.I.P. to a legend in every sense of the word.

I couldn't believe it myself when I saw the news. The very first time I saw Millionaire, I was about 8 years old watching it on GSN. He was essentially the first person I associated with Millionaire. A terrific host. Knew how to make the contestants feel at home and make them feel comfortable, incredible charisma and professionalism and an incredible conversationalist. Ultimately, he is a great host whose impact on game show history (and this forum too) will be felt for generations to come. He made the original ABC Millionaire the success that it was, and because of that, his place as a legend is secure.
Thanks for everything, Regis.

I'm absolutely shocked at seeing the news that the man responsible for the biggest game show craze on U.S. prime time television gave his "Final Answer", as the 100th RPG has been underway. It's not only a loss for the game show fans around the world, but also Millionaire fans here as well. ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING.

This is incredibly difficult news to swallow. One of the most spellbindingly wittiest presenters on TV, and probably the greatest host of Millionaire, and the man who has notched up the most hours on TV.
When I watched the ABC "Fresh Off the Boat" Millionaire promo it felt as if he didn't have long to go. But never mind that, this man was a real genuine guy and simply a legend. Heartbreaking news, and rest in peace Regis.

Now, Regis Philbin. !Tommy, you are right to say that the 2020s started off in the worst position possible in humanity.
