So I wonder.. if you reached the classic millionaire stage, having answered all 10 questions, and lost then, would you leave with the $34,300 you earned, or the standard $25,000 safe point?

Since Regisfan mentioned meeting Meredith, I thought I would post my experiences on the Today Show. I just got back from NYC last night. That morning, I was lucky enough to go see the Today Show live. Ke$ha was scheduled to perform, so I was worried that I wouldn't get a good spot. Fortunately, I did. Along with some of my family, we stood right behind the chairs where Matt and Meredith sit during the first part of the show. They put up the blue "Today" wall at the start of the show, but lowered it about ten minutes later. Matt, Meredith, and Al were kind enough to wave to us and the rest of the crowd. But, I found Meredith particularly kind. She waved to us about 3 times. I was able to get some video and pictures on my phone. It was great to see Meredith! I didn't meet and greet her in person, but I was able to see her live on Today. What an experience!

I now really want to go to New York, all of the stuff you've said about it, it sounds like so much fun!
Also, that's a unique money tree, I don't get the $7,000 for example, why not just $7,500?
And one quick question, are the cues for the $100,000-$1,000,000 questions changed, or did they keep them as they were?

Everything I heard was very generic. I hope some form of the original theme is squeezed in somewhere in the finished product, but I never heard it in the studio. I was expecting to hear some of the original music during "Classic Millionaire," but I didn't hear during that point in the game, either.

nope, not even the lights down cue. that was one of the biggest criticisms i gave them. i said the music is what hooks people into the show. the same melody that (millionaire) has been infused into us for over 11 years just suddenly changes. its like if someone decided to completely change the theme to TPIR or Jeopardy. kinda taboo to do that.
