That's still three more times than I'll be able to watch it! /hasn't aired here since the last Meredith season To be fair, I'm a little worried about the game here in New York as I'm rereading the time announcement. Turns out the ABC affiliate is only putting it on at the twilight hours of 1:30AM while the Long Island station (that is hard to get unless you have cable or live on Long Island) is getting it in the middle of the afternoon. Not sure how to read into this exactly. Maybe it's just a season channel change and WABC will put it back in the middle of the afternoon but not sure. |

So end of shuffle? I kinda liked that format. But I'm glad they're coming back to a normal money tree. It was a bit unfair to get a hard question for $100 lol

Glad to see they did actually spruce up the music a bit. I'll be interested to see what they do for the higher questions.

I like it as well. Seems like it has touches of the ATA polling cue, while still trying to keep some chord progressions of the classic tier 1 music. Fits well with the overall soundtrack of the game as well.

I'm not sure how to feel about the empty screen. On the one hand, it looks like like a missed opportunity to display the lifelines or something, on the other, if the TV screen is too crowded with figures, facts, and faces, it can be tiring.
I agree about the music. It has that Q1-5 feel. I'm looking forward to hearing the rest of the soundtrack. We might be in for a watchable season, in terms of host and atmosphere. The question difficulty appears to be the persisting problem.

I saw this in my FB feed... it really does look (and sounds) a lot better. Seeing the questions appear like in the old days and the camera facing both the host and contestant looks great. The music seems really good. (A new mix might be in order one of these days...)

Yeah the empty screen kind of bugged me out a bit when I went for the taping. But to be fair, having the money tree constantly on would be worse. They eventually do put the logo or the money tree back in but that's in later question.
Also, I can kind of hear the new music too. (It's not play inside the studio :/ I guess it would be too distracting?)

If it was played in studio, then any edits made to the broadcast (and there are a lot of them) would be very noticeable. By putting the music in in post, you can edit the broadcast all you want and it would be seamless. |

I think that putting 'Playing for $xxxx' would be a way to reduce the blankness of the screen. Even if it isn't up permanently during the question, just having it up there for a bit would be nice for people just tuning in. That's actually not a bad idea. Maybe they can use the same template they use on Millionaire: Hot Seat? Although this is the gold version, I like the Black and White one better. Could even change it different colors as long as they clash with the backdrop  |

The Millionaire Hot Seat graphics look like they were made in Powerpoint in five minute's time. Whoever does the graphics for the US show is capable of much better. Heck, we've got people HERE who can do better than that.
