Just saw this on the Nine TV Guide:
"Contestants play for up to $5 million in a live and interactive show. Contestants are given an extra lifeline to help them towards becoming Australia's newest millionaire!"
So is the main prize $5m? Or are there five contestants that could win a combined total of $5m?

That’s sounds a lot like the description of the 2007 show and the computer just spat out the description that was last under Who Wants to be a Millionaire? Likely an error On other TV Guides it mentions the Frontline workers

That's what I was thinking, clearly someone was lazy. In saying that they do mention the frontline workers and the celebrity special. But yes, it might have just been an error.

Yeah, the Nine guide is an error, all the other TV guides I've seen have this:
"The original program is back with a series of special episodes. This episode, Australia's frontline heroes battle it out in a quest to win $1 million. Hosted by Eddie McGuire."

So they are emulating the UK set using the screens that normally display the flames and other Hot Seat graphics in studio. So far music is Rave. I'm not liking the overall quality compared to the UK. I'll still be watching all the episodes though.

Oh you must be in NSW as it hasn't started in Qld yet. Not the rave music 🥴 I still love that but prefer the classic.

Just listing a few of the notable changes. No spoliers.
Rave music is being used.
No second safety net rule.
Lifelines are 50:50, Switch and Ask the Host. No Phone A Friend is a surprising, but maybe the quick turnaround for the episodes made the processes for that difficult possibly.
Slightly disappointing there’s a mish mash of elements

Interestingly, they're using a kind of remix of the classic cues for after Question 10

Mmm yes, Olga Van Den Brandt graphics. Makes it even better, also it looks like all 6 contestants in the frontline workers special will be playing. Even better. Have to say I don't like the Olga intro though. Any of the UK intros or any of the old Australian unique ones obviously modified with the lifelines or the new logo instead of the coin logo.

I wish I can watch the episode, just so I can see how it went.

Q10 music was the classic music. The Q11 music sounds like a clock remix without the ticking.

I assume that would be the celebrity question music from the US 10th Anniversary specials, right?

I also have some screenshots I’d like to share. Let’s see the right order: Who got it right? The Money Tree: Question layout: Win strap: Lifeline strap: They went for UK mixed with Olga, which is very visible. Some things do need some fixing, but I do like it. I’m giving it an 8/10.

Using the 10th Anniversary remix for Tier 3 honestly improves the Rave music package considerably. The set looks nice! It’s still small, but they make the most of it!
