It’s had little promotion and is obviously a replacement for an event affected by COVID-19, so no surprise there. Well, either way, it was a flop. Even if people didn’t know about it, it would’ve had better ratings in episode 2 and 3 than it had in episode 1. Mostly because the ‘Frontline Workers Special’ would’ve been talked about. But, I’m afraid they only got them worse. Episodes 2 and 3 were under 400k. Hot Seat rated way better than Classic overall. So, with that said, I don’t think Nine is interested in doing Classic Millionaire at all anymore. Even though there is a ‘Sports Special’ coming later in the year, and that’s going to be the last episode of the ‘(not so) Special Events’ series. |

People defs knew about it. It was almost always advertised during hotseat. They just picked terrible times aswell. frontline was "fine" celebs were ok apart from the rampart talking due to it being doubles. and the ending of reds run.. jeez. I mean it goes to a good cause regardless can't ask for much more than that regardless. But it was just a hack together.

Such a shame it flopped in ratings, I thought the episodes were absolutely fine and quite nice.
That tiny set was weirdly charming, albeit very obviously made as a temporary solution. Still, the fact they implemented that with the US-style studio for only 3 (4?) episodes is such a waste in my opinion.
By the way, loved Eddie constantly slipping up and calling the show "Millionaire Hot Seat", it was so hilarious, lol.

Maybe at least some of the set changes will be implemented for Hot Seat.
