Yes, it's irc.forestnet.org, #quizzies. I think that, before the game, we will give you an "official" client with sound capability and automated url opening for picture questions, but you could add these yourself if you wish, in theory. You will be very welcome. If anyone else wants, they can come along too It would also be great if you could drop us a little note saying that you're taking part - easiest to chat to me on Skype at kser-dima but PM is fine too. Thanks!

Arghh! I want to do it, but in Western Australia, 7pm GMT is 3am GMT+8. I don't think I would be able to stay up to 3am unfortunately.
Is there any other way to help out beforehand? I would really like to participate in some way.

bl5965, I'm sure we can work something out. I need to chat with everyone else who's organising and we'll see what we can do. I'll PM you, please check later tonight.

boyardman, it's very easy. It's a text-based IRC game based on the "Drop" format (8 questions with $40 to go through them), you connect and then everything becomes very clear. We have, sort of, graphics to make the game nicer and we have sounds for perfect experience. Winnings will be put through however you want. Would you like to take part? We will provide an IRC client with sounds and from then on you just run it and enter a nickname If you would, it'd be absolutely great as we need players. Thanks!

I hate to clog this thread with my posts, but here goes - if you are interested, even slightly, please get Skype and contact me there: kser-dima - and we'll add you to the 'green room' for further discussion and a copy of IRC client. Please may the 3 people who replied here do that, it only takes a few minutes but will let you have a lot of fun. As for the time zone issue, we may just be able to work something out Thanks again!

I did it, it was awesome and I had some money. Thanks to everyone involved... And even greater thinking that all of this was done on IRC, you have coding buffs for sure, guys.

ljouvin, thanks for your compliments! From the board, BL5965 won $1 and ljouvin won $3.50. It was great, and if you didn't come along, you missed out! But we'll do this again some time in the future - do check back By the way, if you want to view how the game went (the game log) just click here: gameshows.ru/forum/the-40-money-drop-29-12-2010-t4413.html
