It's a brand new game show which debuted yesterday on 10 pm (GMT) on Channel 4 UK. The rules of the show:
A pair of contestants gets Ł1,000,000 at the start of the game. They have to face 8 questions. They place bets on the possible answers by putting money on one of the trapdoors. However, they have to bet all the money and they have to leave at least one trapdoor without any money on it. They only have 1 minute to place bets. Any money they bet on wrong answer(s) drops down the trapdoor.
The big difference between other gameshows is: this show is LIVE. I've seen the 1st episode and it was quite nice.

How can I watch it from Australia? The proxy I normally use to watch ITV with (it works) doesn't seem to work with Channel 4, plus I can't find it on YouTube either..

I love this game : the soundtrack and the rules are very good... A very new game with the effect of the live give a new dimension of TV game show! =)

You can see it on the website of Chanel 4... If you can't you can see short part of the show on Youtube. And more : you can play along the show on the Internet... As this, you can have an extract of a show in your home... =D

Live streams are also available. Some of the Big Brother fan websites broadcast it, you can also see it from there : cctv.ws/5/ChannelFour (HQ for VLC) cctv.ws/3/C4LQ (LQ for VLC) You have to open them directly with VLC or anything that can play MP4 video with the option called "Open URL", "Open network location" or anything that looks like it. |

"Million Pound Drop" is due to appear in Russia. There is no known title just as yet, but in general the show will be what it looks like in the UK. There will be two players battling for a top prize of 10,000,000 Roubles. They can win it in just 8 questions. The contestants can choose a topic on which their question is. There are 3 stages in the game - with 4, 3 or 2 available answers, and the players can choose between 3, 2 or 1 answers respectively by placing money on them. Right answer - money stays in the game, wrong answer - money falls down in a hole a la Russian Roulette. The contestants will have just 30 seconds to answer and move all of the 10,000,000 roubles in play. The show will be hosted by Maxim Galkin, the current host of "5 against the Quizmaster/Who Wants to Become Maxim Galkin?" and a past host of Russian WWTBAM. "Million Pound Drop" - renamed "Money Drop" in the UK - will also appear in the USA, episodes start taping this August. Just watched the premiere of our version (http://quizzies.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=92) which is identical to the UK original show. The show is fantastic!

I saw russian and british version of the million pound drop.
Both shows was fantastic and great.
